Selfishly I am breathing a sigh of relief but this is bad for college basketball. Seems like one top CBB coaches get poached each year to the NBA but you don’t see that very often in CFB.

Looking at retiring soon and just wanted to do one last cash grab would be my guess.

Dealing with him in my companies I have worked for, he is a douche bag. But the dude can coach.

Yeah I’m not exactly surprised he left. It’s just more then fact he waited 1 year to not really improve his NBA opportunity.

Unless he really likes someone like Sexton and thinks he can turn the Cavs around real quick

He knew he had a lot of talent coming back, wanted to make one more run for the title, now pretty much everyone worth a damn is leaving so the team is about to hit the shitter. See Urban Meyer leaving Florida. Who knows how much more money Cleveland’s throwing at him vs last year?

Seems like it was a dream of his to coach in the NBA. He's built a few programs up but it seems like a pretty tall task for someone that age to flip an NBA team. Does he have another 5-10 years left? And it's not like college where you can recruit and get anyone. You have to draft and trade for guys. Guess we'll see.
