Any other school wouldn't be bound to implement OU's "punishment" and more than likely would have given less or virtually no punishment at all just to land him. You don't think if, OU had given him the boot, every school would have been bidding on how little punishment they would dole out to get him to come there?

You do realize that if he was dismissed from OU, he'd have to sit out a year before playing for another team, right?
The only players allowed to transfer and play right away are the guys who already graduated and have eligibility left.
That is the reason I said -- OU's punishment is EXACTLY what he would have received if he was kicked out of OU -- 1 year before he can play football.
I already said, I don't have any hate toward OU. Some schools put wins and losses in front of integrity. OU isn't the only school who would have given him a 2nd chance. Other schools would have booted him. It is what it is. When you have an "amateur" sport, yet paying out millions and millions for coaches and astronomical figures for facilities etc. Talent will win over what is right or wrong. If it was a 4th string TE -- he would have been booted and it wouldn't even be a national story. It is a big story because it is a top recruit.

An example -- a Michigan player knocked a guy out outside a bar. He was booted from the team. He was a bottom of the depth chart WR, so no one cared.

The university had nothing to do with the video being sealed. That was a judge. Molitor's attorney has publicly stated multiple times they do not want the video released. Guaranteed there's a non-disclosure agreement that involves Molitor getting a big piece of Mixon's NFL bonus. This is a legal matter. The SAE video wasn't. So... Go fish.

Releasing the video serves NO POINT.

The incident occurred. Mixon was punished. End of story. It serves no one involved to release it now. No good will come of it, just more blame to go around.

People REALLY enjoy stringing up and gutting everyone.......it's just not good enough that this issue has already been adjudicated and is done with. NOOOOOOO.......we gotta get more mileage out of it.

I never said it wasn't a big deal. Try reading my posts real slow this time. Personally, the incident happened two years ago and Mixon has served his punishment. I see nothing that can be constructively accomplished by dredging it up. The only reason the media wants this video releases is because they've been told they can't have it, and they want their pound of flesh off an 18 year old kid.
