It wasn't a SB or bust kind of year even with Jimmy G and Lynch and Shanahan aren't remotely close to being on the hot seat so you might as well ride it out with CJ the guy you drafted and knows your system.
No need to waste draft capital in trading for a guy who doesn't know your offense and hasn't had any offseason work with the offense.
If this was a case where the SB window was wide open right now I'd say maybe be more aggressive to get the best option you can at QB.
NO that would be pointless, you need those picks to build off next year and beyond. Take whatever warm body off the trash heap you can find to back him up. It is more a testament to the position that there is that much garbage floating around out there.
