I get the feeling marinelli would take less money to go to bucs. We need a competent guy to coach this defense. Reunite him with suh and the defense would be OK

Schwartz is a dirtbag. He should remain free. Speculation I heard from some local sportscaster yesterday is that the feeling is Marinelli will stay.

Hopefully Rod will stay. The Sparano thing if Callahan leaves might have legs though

I agree with TXheat. I wouldn't want that guy anywhere near this team. Garrett has built something here with the right kind of players and good solid coaches. Schwartz would not fit in with all that. I always felt the lions d was coached to play that dirty style of football under him.

Sounds like Rod is here now. VERY glad. The defense started to play well, finally have a system they can study and learn. Don't need a new one rolling in, so I'm glad to see the continuity.

I think we were around 20% better in both points and yardage from the previous year. Not too shabby...

Be careful not to take the rankings at face value. Some of the improvement can be attributed to the success on offense, some on the schedule versus last year and some on the rotation and general health of the defense. The defense played inspired for the most part, but it still felt like they over achieved a bit. There is no question RM is the better fit and I'd love for Jerrah to get him better players to work with. Happy RM is staying.
