Minn might be able to get Mack on the cheap after this season.

Kill's had dozens of seizures and he hasn't quit yet. I'm not sure why'd he call it quits after this one. He's still a relatively young guy that has another decade until he should even think about retirement.

He's said that if he's coaching or not coaching he'll have them anyway, so he wants to continue. Gotta give him credit, but that would be tough as a team to have to deal with that several times each season.

Maybe a consulting role would be better?

Most seizures do not cause any permanent damage and are mostly dangerous only if people don't prevent them from swallowing their tongue or hurting themselves banging their heads on nearby blunt objects.

No reason to retire over them.

What if he seizes out during a crucial point when they need to challenge a call or go for it on fourth?
Time to hang it up.

What is Minnesota's record when Kill has his seizures? It could be a motivational tool for the team if they are undefeated.

I'm sure they have contingencies in place to cover that scenario. If the doctors clear him to coach then he should period and anyone else's opinion really doesn't matter.

Please don't do this. You should never stick something in a seizing person's mouth, as it is virtually impossible to swallow your own tongue, but it is easy to break your jaw/teeh biting something hard, or choke to death because you bite through whatever object was inserted into your mouth and it blocks your airway, or get an infection from some dirty object inserted into the mouth.

Proper seizure response is to lay somebody down, clear all nearby objects if safe, turn them on their side (so they don't choke on their own vomit), and call for medical help.

The pressure from being on the sidelines is enough to give perfectly healthy folks seizures, much more someone prone to them. Can you say, "common sense," Jerry?

They often don't allow people with these issues to drive buses, trains or airplanes. The truth is that coaching is high stress, not everyone can or should do it.

Best wishes to the guy. Bigger things out there than football. I agree with the consulting role (or ish...) comment. High stress does not help epilepsy.

Not my call to make though, and hope he deals with this properly for his own health.
