well thats because state LEGISLATORS by the constitution can do that as they are soley responsible for how elections are done . its the candidates job to win those votes . without the EC the candidate doesnt even need to show up or pay attention to their concerns making their vote useless

and this is why there are issues with the last election , because governors and secretaries of state made up rules due to the pandemic they werent constitutionally empowered to do without the legislators approval

some state allow for ballot harvesting , which i say is legalized cheating because no one is watching what party representatives are saying and doing with those ballots . you arent allowed to influence people one way or the other while you are actually voting and not ALL parties are being allowed to present their case equally

and yes they pledge their delegates as required by their law

That's odd, oil is an international commodity, and the energy independence that you speak of was based upon use vs. supply which began and ended under the traitor. U.S. fossil fuel exports began to decline in 2020, before Joe Biden took office, and these changes were brought about by a historic decline in the demand for — and cost of — crude oil. The COVID-19 pandemic, not the actions of any U.S. president, was the cause of those trends.

BTW: unemployment under Obama reached 4.7%, Trump's lowest 7.9% (he doesn't get credit for what he inherited)
