No, you didnt realize it, and now you’re passing along your opinion as if it’s fact.
I absolutely did know it. The money is already fleeing the state of California. That is a fact. If Hollywood were to relocate, California would crumble.
My opinion is that if either texas or California leave the union then the us is in great danger of collapsing.
The US would be fine without California. If Texas were to secede, I would move.
On the other hand, Texas is run by an imbecile who cant keep his own power grid running, and California is not.
No…California is run by an idiot who sees it burn because he doesn’t understand forest management. California is run by a guy who would still have everybody who is poor locked in doors. California would be the next Venezuela if left to it’s own vices.

As for power grids, isn’t California that state that requires rolling blackouts, but not in his neighborhood, and can’t find water?

absolutely true , and the EC does meet the challenges of today and its as fair as you can get . big population states have no clue about unique challenges of smaller states and politicians will cater to them at the expense of small ones
Wow, what a one-sided view of life in this country. The EC as currently constructed is unfair to larger populations, and more than fair to smaller ones. Btw; you might be correct about larger populations not being up to speed on the unique challenges of smaller states, but the opposite holds true as well. The answer to your challenge concerning politicians catering, is one that we have right now, which most certainly would revolve itself by reforming how things are done in Washington, sending better representation here, and stop blaming Washington for sending your trash here.

So you think even though Biden wins one major city only, the rest of the state shouldn’t count?

This isn't a conversation about Biden. I believe that unlike the current system, every vote should count equally. Reforms to how elections are conducted must reflect that. The current system basically gives us one in which 1 vote from a smaller state is equal to approximately 80 in more populous states.

Here's another thing, rethinking the number of SC justices to better reflected the growth of the country since its last retooling in 1869.

How about one or two for each circuit as originally designed?
OR...
If true representation on the court is desired, how about one from every state, plus the district of Columbia (51)

To be a confederation of states, each state requires equal representation. I am fine with California leaving the US.
I began this day by responding to posts as I read them, then realized that adequate responses had already been made.
I take note that you would leave if Texas followed California, a correction the you made later in reference to your maniacal (informal def.)view on California leaving. Hopefully, you've realized the error that comes with pulling the thread that binds this country doesn't stop with one but all, especially those who are financially dependants on others.

What an idiotic thing to suggest. Why? Because if he gets back in, there won't be be a need for a SC. Autocracies govern every aspect of life under their rule. I hope that you know what you're saying and pushing for!

Exactly what in that tweet earned a fine ?
You've already been told, just because some loud mouth, idiot, congressman conflated two things as JDR did, doesn't make either of them right.

The obvious answer is popular vote in every state are pledged to that person. You know, a kind of will of the people thing.
