I wouldn't mind resigning TK, and Shero wants to, but there WILL be someone out there willing to through 3+mill at him

I know I'm on an island when it comes to TK... I love his game, he's on his up swing... and as Pix said, he didn't produce until people got hurt... which to means he's not over rated, but excelled with more ice time and responsiblities and was not dependent on others to make him better... cough cough Kris Letang...

I suppose. I wouldn't mind seeing him back next year, but not for $3 million.

OH no not for 3 million... Dupper has more value (to the team right now) than TK and I wouldn't give Dupper 2 million. TK will be offered the high limit of the 3rd rd compensation... 1.5 million... I think 3.01 million is the upper limit of the 2nd rd compensation... and I doubt ANY team would offer more than that because they would have to give up a first rd pick (and 3rd).

As much as I like TK, I hope some team offers him just over 3 million... I would trade TK for a 1st and 3rd. But that price honestly never crossed my mind until you two said it... and based on the others around him on the nhl stat sheet, I guess it's not out of the question.

A player like TK could be huge on a borderline/struggling team, and they may offer that.

I'm not a huge fan of TK myself. I think he's too weak defensively and has too low of a hockey IQ to be an effective long-term player. Even as a 20-goal scorer, I think he's a liability elsewhere, which makes him about as valuable as a 10-15 goal scorer.

That said, the offense is nice, so if he comes back for $1.5 million or less, I'd be okay with that. Anything above that would be too much. To be perfectly honest, I'd rather not pay him more than $1 million per, taking him up to free agency.

I also think Jagr, even at his age, and even with the reduced minutes his age would likely necessitate, is a 30-goal, 60-point player, and would thus be worth signing, but the Penguins can't really afford a whole lot more than, I would guess, $2 million for a 1-year contract.

I'd say if they can keep it under 3 mil, sign him.

My feelings are the same with TK he is a good 5 x5 player and not sure how well he would play with Malkin /Crosby or on the PP with them. He likes handling the puck and so do they. Also he works for his goals and I don't remember anytime he has ever scored on a nice feed or a dirty rebound so I don't think his style fits well on the Penguins top 2 lines with the talent they have.

That being said if it look 1.5 to keep either Dupuis or Kennedy I would take Kennedy strictly on potential. If it took 1.5 to keep Dupuis and 2.25 for Kennedy I will take Dupuis.

BTW...They tendered Jeffrey yesterday (550k 2 way deal) but have not done so with Kennedy.

lmao... There are so many Boston fans calling for him to come to the B's on other blogs. Krejci I guess mentioned he would like for Jagr to join them in the quest to repeat. I do not want to see him in black and gold. He can't play Bruins hockey. From what I read the Red Wings seem to be really interested in him.

I would love to see him in black and [Vegas] gold. And is he old enough to play for the Red Wings? He'd be cutting it awfully close...

BlobMac tweeting Montreal is the 3rd "mystery" (lol) team

Jagr likes the idea of playing with Plekanec

also said that the Wings seem to be more interested than the Pens

just so folks can temper their expectations accordingly.

Who started the mystery team thing? A week before that, Montreal was all up in the running.

idk ... it all makes me wonder whether Jagr is just trying to leverage all these NHL teams so he can get a better deal in the KHL

i mean why would he come back for less than 3 mill when he can get that TAX FREE in the KHL where he is basically their marquee player

I am standing outside of Jagr headquarters and so far today all is quiet. We saw a fluttering of curtains earlier so we thought something might be happening. We cannot really speculate to what it was but we speculate it could have been a prostitute trying to sneak away or perhaps Jagr looking to escape a losing card game. Or it was his cat looking out the window but that seems unlikely. No matter what, if something happens, we'll be here to cover it. Now where is that Taco Truck?

I'm C. Omeds and you've been watching SportsHoopla News.

Maybe a switch flipped and he figured out that money isn't everything. Or he heard everybody calling him too fat and old.
