Can you guys explain what Svoboda did? I don't understand.

My issue with him is the constant " we will have a decision this afternoon, then tomorrow, then this evening, then in the next few days."

It is getting very tiresome to say the least.

Honestly I think we're just seeing more of it than usual (aka, hearing the Pensblog call) which fans don't usually get to hear. That and his inconsistency, losing his playing, etc. It's just silly.

Yes, but given the small amount of info. available, I think there's no way to know if he's stalling b/c Jagr is indecisive (or unavailable) or if he's doing a bad job in his public representation. No way to know, but generally the client calls the shots.

BREAKING NEWS!!!!!

Jagr was NOT at Mitchells Seafood in Homestead tonight between 8pm and 10pm. In addition, he was NOT at the waterfront Giant Eagle between 10:05pm and 11:30pm.

All of this is per our embedded reporter, @Forty_sixand2.

This is definitive evidence that he is indeed headed to Detroit!!

We will all know something before the end of the day. I'm sure. No matter where he goes, his agent had to be intelligent enough to know NOT to announce it before noon today. Otherwise the league would look at the deal, and so would the NHLPA. You are not allowed to sign a contract without going through waivers before noon today. Even a gentlemans agreement where a player commits to a team would be strongly frowned upon by both the NHLPA and the league.

Him announcing his a team, and a contract value or length before 12:00 today could negatively effect the value of many players in FA this year, and his agent knows this. The NHLPA would most likely take some sort of action against the team and player if this were to occur.
