I find it telling that Andy Reid has said he would take him in a heart beat. If his former coach would want him back, we need to consider it.

he wants to be paid as a #1 WR. he was making 10 mil per season with the Eagles. No way he is worth it. Garcon is better and we are paying him 8 mil per season.

I don't understand why we wouldn't consider this. Do we pay him what his contract with the eagles was? No. But he's an extremely talented player who has way less off field issues (really just this rumor) then a lot of other players. We sit here taking about how we hope we sign Britt but we balk at signing a far more productive WR in Jackson. Hilarious.

b/c Jackson is going to cost a hell of a lot more money than Britt. Plus Britt is younger and has a higher ceiling.

Just finished reading the posts on the Eagles board, and boy are they pissed at Jackson's release. Just a couple who support the move but by far the mood is best described as angry.

That said, I don't think that Washington signs him for several reasons, among them are salary concerns, size, ( Gruden likes bigger wide-outs), and quite possibility his off field affiliations which btw he's denied.

You still throw an offer out...nothing guaranteed...4 mil/season...with incentives.

Oakland has a ton of money to throw at him........I think that if he goes for, as you suggest, 4 mil/season plus incentives it will be because he also plays Philly twice a season. Good offer though.

It's an offer that doesn't hurt us at all.

Like I said...he can deny it all he wants; however, a team doesn't just cut a 3 time pro-bowl, 27 year old WR, that's under contract, and costs 4 mil to cut.

Just curious, Gkekoa, if true why should we even make an offer? even one that you've suggested?

He may not be in a gang...maybe he's hanging with the wrong crowd...a gang crowd.

Really, even if he does turn into Aaron Hernandez, does it hurt this team with nothing guaranteed? Let's say this makes him wise up (losing 6 mil/year would make me wise up) and we get a steal...a motivated steal.

The only way to even consider this thug is an unreal bargain with little guaranteed. No way Jackson does that.

I had read the guy was a punk, but had no idea he might be involved in this kinda stuff. Let some other team take the risk.
