torn between not wanting to give any cash to the NHL this year, but still want to take my boy to the practice tomorrow.

maybe I'll go, but leave cash/credit cards home as to not be tempted at the store, and show lil biz where the water fountain is...

interesting change in the new cba

Seth Rorabaugh ‏@emptynetters

Interesting CBA change. Intermissions go from 17 to 18 minutes. Human bowling, etc. will go from 5 to 4 minutes to aid better ice cleaning.

• Beginning with a players' second contract, they are entitled to their own hotel room on the road.

mandatory higher expenses = ticket and/or concession prices will go up
just because the pampered athlete wants to chill and watch skinivision in peace.

I heard many players couldn't vote because Holmstrom parked himself in front of the desk, just as a parting shot.

While hockey was still around, to say the NHL is a small part sounds a little bitchy. Then again he is working at ESPN still, so I wouldnt be surprised if they told him to downplay it a little.

That one irritates me. I don't give a rat's ass who you are, suck it up and deal with that crazy Swede or goalie you stuck up piece of shit.

well said Bucci...

This is nice, NHL, but a little arrogant. You aren't hockey. You are a small part. Hockey never went anywhere. You did ow.ly/gLr7N

Yeah, not sure why he is still over at DisneyVision, wish he could escape - he clearly gets the game. The game is the thing. The NHL is only part of it, and I wouldn't be heartbroken if they dissolved as long as someone else took their place.

I am not an NHL fan. I am a hockey fan.

Maybe the word "small" is the rub. But I agree completely with him. The NHL is not hockey.

• Re-entry waivers has been eliminated. No more half-price discounts.

Steve Mason just peed in his pants a little. Enjoy Springfield, Mase. That line alone almost guarantees the goaltending tandem in Columbus is Bobro / Tabasco.

• Teams (if asked by the NHL) must participate in at least one international game over the course of this CBA. The NHL Premiere Games in Europe don't appear to be going anywhere.

Good. I like the idea and the American and Canadian players need to see they are not the only ones on earth. Everyone else in the world had to play in a crappy arena with no heat at 6am too. And the Euro players get to play in arenas filled with their friends.

And the owners need to see that they aren't the only ones either. Other places can fill their stands just as easily.

I just wish they'd play those games on International Ice. :)

Last time #redwings went to camp without Nicklas Lidstrom, Bryan Murray was in his first season as coach-GM of the team (1990-91). #NHL

Oh great ! Now there will be a recall vote because of potential voter intimidation.

Marc-Andre Fleury and Bryzgalov were there too, but it didn't seem like they stopped anyone.

I'll bet if you asked coaches their opinion on the roommates issue, they would want every player to have a roommate on the road. Heck, they might want them to have roommates for home games...

Hey Gary, take note when the Coyotes pull in less than 8,000 for a regular season game.
