I just came across this item, and thought it was definately worth a share. It seems that the folks at Topps, the main baseball card guys, have come up with a pretty cool idea. They are going back to their vaults, and bringing back cards from as far back as 1980. However, it is not the cards they are dealing in per se. What they have done is make up frameable artwork type pieces of certain former start based on a given years baseball card.

It has been that way since they started, in the 1950's. The worse the player was, the more of his cards you would get.

As they are baseball card replicas, I would not mind a Ryan one. I would probably want him as an Astro though, in one of the old "tequila sunrise" uni's.

This is only because though they would not have one of him and Robin Ventura.
