Phew, I'm sure everyone is fucking relieved that YOU'RE OK with it.

I'd heard you suffered a fatal labia wound after being bitten by a rattlesnake while squatting to piss outside of a tupperware party you were attending. I Guess that isn't true since your bitch ass is still here.

It is and it sucks.

Washington solved that issue with that Kai Forbath dude real fast.

To put it simply, some fans think the solution is "as long as its not Akers". There just aren't any good veteran options out there left

it doesn't have to be Cundiff, it has to be someone who can kick better right now? someone who has confidence he'll hit it, someone without doubts from missing 31%.

Akers is PROVEN to be poor right now, find it hard to believe we can't sign someone who can be 3rd to the lowest, or 4th to the lowest in the NFL? point being any improvement counts come play-off time.

I guess we can just hope that it doesn't come down to a FG.

Sure, you are citing this idealistic replacement for Akers. Do you have someone in mind?

Its not like there's a plethora of playoff tested kickers just waiting to be picked up

so you're hesitating because you're not reading a pro bowl name to replace Akers? i can assure you there isn't one out there, there isn't even a solid NFL kicker out there. cause if there was one, he wouldn't be unemployed.

but you should start with Akers first, do you want him for three pressure packed games? if you believe in him, then your answer is yes and you should debate why he should remain?

why do you still believe in him, because of what he did last year? last year trumps all his misses THIS year? you like him because he had a good career? because he tied the NFL record? why?

It's not the name I care about. It is not loyalty.
He was drilling them right down the middle of the uprights last year and the ball was rotating end over end consistently.

Most of his misses this year have that same rotation, it's just been drifting mid flight. He is not shanking his kicks. I'm hoping an adjustment can fix it.

Also, as I noted before, he doesn't have as many touchbacks as last year. His leg strength isn't the same.

I hesitate because there's not much history of success throwing a replacement kicker at the end of the year. I think the Saints had some luck putting in Hartley? and the Chargers with Kaeding. But that sort of blew up in their faces under the pressure.

It's not a possibility but if he was in game shape and willing, I would support putting Nedney back there and see if he has anything left (pun not intended)

A plus with bringing a guy like Nedney is that he is also a lefty and Jennings and Lee wouldn't have to transition to a righty this late in the season.

I'm not sure what was wrong with Justin Medlock. The dude began the year 7 for 7. Didn't miss a field goal until week 9. Week 9 he misses a 50 yarder. Week 10 he missed a 43 yarder. Week 11 he misses a 40 yard field goal. That's one three game stretch. It's not nearly as bad as Cundiff or Akers has done. Also, Cundiff has made just on 50+ yard field goal since 2005. The dude was beaten out by Jose Cortez at one point.

Fully agree Akers should start first and I don't even want to see Cundiff on the field at all. There is a clear confidence advantage with Akers, I don't think he's got the nerves because he was awesome last year and did his job in the playoffs. I strongly believe he has been injured most of the season, many games he's been shown grimmacing in pain. And I definitely think that is a big reason if not the reason for his decline. Cundiff chokes in big games and please no more Kyle Williams f*ckups in the playoffs!!!! That offense and defense better up the bar even more to avoid these games coming down to the wire with a 30-40-50 game winning field goal attempt.

maybe the kicking situation will be a positive. hopefully it forces harbaugh to reconsider that stupid conservative play calling when we have the lead.

That, or at least stop him from playing for a 40+ yard FG.
