Patterson, my self and others are trying to help these guys. We are trying to set us up to succeed they want to go back to the Alex Smith years. I never saw something like that. They like going 4-12 or 5-11.

Ask any QB who the most important part is to his offense. All will say Oline. Yes QB is the most Glorified position but Oline is your structure, base, your support.

There is no man Love from me. The only one that loves Kap is you. U keep saying man crush over and over again. That means its you with the crush. I never met someone that loves a player more then you. its crazy. I mean to be honest you said man crush like 15x on this thread.

1st step of recovery is admitting it. U can do it.

Everyone is saying its ok to move on from Kap but for some odd reason u think people have a man crush on Kap. Shows how bright you are. Hang in there man it will get better.
LOL! The old "I know you are, but what am I" defense. I used to use that one in the 3rd grade. Oh Purguy, you are quite a character!

But the worst of all, and probably in the entire league, is the quarterback

Nope u can ask any Therapist. Take a Psychology course. Its in Psych 101.

Again is just like a kid picking on someone, the truth is the kid is insecure that is why he has the need to pick on people.

While that maybe true, Steve Young was sat down for 3-4 years and was able to learn how to be great. However, steve young is more exception then he is the rule. Colin is a running back playing qb and that is all. A further problem is Colin has bad coaching this year but what about last year? What about the year before in which he had many of the exact same struggles as he had this year? No one is suggesting that coaching and talent around you does not impact you but you seem to be dismissing the fact that your performance is also an independent qualifier as well. Also, to suggest that qb performance does not impact coaching and game schemes is just as silly.
elw4- tough game for your mets last night. Good game over all.

The ironic thing about this whole Kaepernick 'discussion' is that the absolute facts have already been provided, yet certain individuals seem to gloss over it. The fact is Andrew Luck. Thanks to whomever (the comparison of Luck to Kaep is still laughable) brought his name up!

For a decade plus, the Colts were a 12 to 14 win team year in/year out with Peyton Manning. He goes out for the year, and Indy implodes to 2-14 and get the first pick. They get Luck, and instantly they are back to an 11 win/playoff team, and have been improving ever since. (until this year) Proof that 1) the quarterback is by far the most important position, and 2) Lucks presence makes THAT much of a difference. Sure there are other pieces to come and go, but the point still stands. A no-brainer at the position is the choice to make.

So those 2012 Colts, all 2-14 of them, and clearly a garbage unit....I guess they made a mistake with 1.) going with Andrew Luck with the first pick and 2.) starting him instantly. His O-line has always been below average to putrid. The coaching staff and defense are sub par for sure. Pagano is crap as a HC. Luck's been getting better every year and last year he really had an outstanding season - this season not considered.

I guess the Colts instead, should've shored up that offensive line and taken Matt Kalil? Or how about a stout LB in Luke Kuechly? Or make a massive trade with...well every other franchise in the NFL who would've taken Luck to bag a bunch of picks? They could've bagged a ton of guys, but if Curtis Painter is still that QB, they'd never have gone to any of those playoffs that Luck took them to.

"They could've done a bunch of deals and still got Brandon Weeden!" Yeeeaaahhhh!

Well said! Luck will still be playing in the league and Kap will be long gone (maybe to the CFL).

It's completely ridiculous. Like some here think Kaepernick should get a lifetime pass just because his offensive line is bad and he was our quarterback in the Super Bowl a few years ago.

It doesn't matter how ridiculously shitty he plays, it's because his offensive line is bad. Last year, it was the offensive coordinator and this year it's his line. I'm watching the games. He's making bad decisions, he's inaccurate, and he doesn't see the field. Stop making excuses for him. He's not the answer.

I believe the 49ers would like to start Gabbert right away but I bet they wait til after the Bye next week to get some time to prepare. They'll sacrifice the game in Atlanta.

My worry is that Kaepernick sees the writing on the wall and will listen to the coaches this week and thus have a solid game and we'll be stuck with him even longer.

I wouldn't worry about that.

Kaepernick has always had a very fragile ego. As soon as anyone gets in his head, his play gets worse.

I have to agree with Choas on this one. Kaep is going to play horribly especially if hyde is out again, then there will be no run game and it will be all up to him to make plays and he clearly can not do that. Kaep is done and everyone sees it. Now it is all about what qb do we draft and groom for a couple of years.

You really think Tom Brady would be winning games left and right with this team don't you?

They'd win probably half and would at least be competitive in the others.
