Yep, there aren't many options for the line. Changes are ok but we still can't expect miracles. Before someone lashes out at Baalke again, still think Baalke couldn't have known Anthony Davis was going to retire? So it is hard to blame him for that loss.

LOL, you got that right. There really aren't any good options at this point. That is why Pears and Devey are still playing. If martin continues to struggle at Center I wouldn't be opposed to giving Eaton a shot.

Let Gabbert play and see what happens. If Gabbert plays well against a defense like Seattle coming up, let em play

Tough call?! Don't know if now is a good time to change QB's, or later on. But guess i'll be ok should they do it. Cause either way doesn't look great, at least Gabbert can throw short. Completing short is better than sacks, incompletions, and INT's.

This team feels out of control.
The players aren’t disciplined, no one is playing well, the schemes aren’t working, everything is going wrong. I feel like Tomsula is just kind of there. I know he does a lot and works very hard but I don’t feel like this is Tomsula’s team. They have no identity, hell he doesn’t have one. It feels like it’s just a group of people showing up every week to play football and get paid and then go back home. It doesn’t feel connected or like a team at all. At this point I kinda want them to tank the season and try and grab Goff with a top pick

Im not talking about replacing Kap as the starter. Im talking about that game. Its common sense. 95% of coaches would of made that move.
I agree, only I'd put kaepernick on the bench period until he at least attempts to follow instructions. All this time and money they spent for him to learn footwork down in Arizona and this guy comes out like he learned nothing. He wants to do it his way and refuses to listen to anyone despite now being the league's worst quarterback.

What is all this nonsense about Jared Goff. The guy hasn't done anything. Outside of the Ba Area nobody cares about this guy.

If we want to tank the season, then keep Kaep in so that we can get Goff.

If we're interested in being a better team this year, then Kaep has to go. We are not a competitive team with him. We're more likely to win with Gabbert.

Supposedly. He is a top QB prospect. I don't follow college ball so I am only going by what I've read

I believe Kap hired the coaches and not the team. Kap did it on his own

After the 4th interception would have been a pretty good time. The game was already out of reach.

I'm pretty sure the coaching staff will be paying close attention to Gabbert during practices this season.

You think THIS coaching staff will be paying close attention to anything? This coaching staff couldn't march a heard of rabid elephants through a wet paper bag.

Hand picked by the guy who refused to get along with the only legitimate NFL coach this debacle of a franchise has had since George Siefert left town. Baalke should have been fired two seasons ago. Because Jed chose to appease Baalke's silly ego, this fanbase is going to feel the pain of drafting in the top 5 for the next 5-10 years. Count on it. Nobody wants to coach here (we couldn't get a single legit coordinator to even answer the phone), and nobody wants to play here (all-pros would rather retire than play for this disaster; I can't say I blame them as this is a completely rudderless ship).

Thank GOD we got rid of the real problem and sent Harbaugh to Michigan. Imagine how much worse we'd be if he were still on our sideline.

I would take him or COok. None are superstar talent but worth a shot. Im not a fan of this QB Class.

Its not like A Smith sucks. the guy has more wins then most in this league so overall it wasn't a bad pick. Yes Rogers is the better player but its not like we bombed that pick.

I with most that I don't know if any of these QBs would be good in the NFL. I agree about building the Oline but to be honest we are really 1 player away from a good Oline if AD comes back. Kilgore will be at center and we just have to find another guard. We do have to find a replacement for Staley soon. he has maybe 2 good years left.

It was a bad pick. One of those partly responsible for the pick was Mike McCarthy who ironically coaches Aaron Rodgers now. I like Alex. He is an ok QB but nowhere near worth the No.1 pick in the draft. He typically doesn't lose games but doesn't win them either. Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the league right now. In the team's defense alot of other teams got it wrong too. I remember a common belief at the time was Aaron Rodgers was a product of Tedford and had a low ceiling. The scouts got another one really wrong.

Yes He is better but time of the draft almost know one thought he would be good so for us to go with the safe pick Smith wasn't bad. Its not Smith was Ryan leaf. Overall not a bad pick. It could of been worse.

Rogers is a great QB but not the best. Tom Brady is the best.

wouldn't go this far BUT, would still be ok should we make the move. We already know what we got in Kaep, but we don't know how much improvement Gabbert has made? Its likely not a lot, but i understand a change might be necessary for team's sake.

With this Oline...I'm not sure Jesus H Christ on a pogo stick could do much...Gabbert would be an automatic disaster...

well, Kaep isn't exactly playing well. Damn if you do, damn if you don't.

if forced to choose, i stick with Kaep. but again, should Coaches make the move, not going to grumble. The coaches will do it if they sense other players lost faith in Kaep.

We have to stick with Kaep...but if we find ourselves in the same situation at half or the end of the 3rd, that's when I think it's an appropriate time to pull him and throw Gabbert to the wolves...mostly to keep Kaep from getting killed on a scramble. If this happens...we're double damned if we don't.

At this point...we don't have much to lose as far as quality from the middle to the right on the Oline...if we get killed this next game and the culprits are the same...there will be changes without a doubt. WE LEAAAKIN' BLOOD!!! WE LEAAAAKIN'!!!
