IT FINALLY HAPPENED!!!

50 years as a franchise, not once has Phoenix ever picked first. I cried tears of joy and got black out drunk last night (which I was doing regardless of if they stayed at 1 or dropped to 4 like I 100% expected them to.

I can now finally say (maybe) the draft lottery isn't rigged... PHX, SAC and ATL as the top 3 with 2 of them moving up... yeah, doesn't seem like there's too much incentive there as far as marketing goes.

Now, we better take my boy DeAndre Ayton, I love Luka's game, I really do. BUT Booker/Ayton P&R's with Jackson cutting on the wing = sex.


I forgot how to be happy about anything NBA related for so long... now with a core of Booker, Jackson, Chriss, Bender, one of Ayton/Doncic and a glut of future picks & cap space incoming I'm very optimistic about our future finally. "ANYTHING IS POSSSIBLEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!"

I'm not that high on Ayton. Maybe if I hadn't seen Arizona play last year, I'd feel differently.

I would consider taking the European guy or trading the pick.

The Euro guy needs to test well athletically to go in the Top 3 I think. if you're a wing or PG, you usually sport + athleticism to go really high in the draft.

@Arizona_Sting That said, at least the Suns will be a little more interesting in a way that I'll actually want to attend a game down there while visiting my aunt on spring break.

It will also be interesting to see what they do with EP as he hits restricted free agency.

Congrats, even if I hated the Suns tanking to get that worst record. I'm excited about the Kings getting Ayton or Luka(assuming they don't KANGZ it), both have their question marks but are at the top of most draft boards for a reason.

Ayton needs to stay home. I could survive Doncic, but Ayton is such a story book pick. The last year before the lottery changes format, the Suns finally get #1, and the hometown kid stays home. It’s like Lebron to Cleveland. Don’t @ me

Minnesota getting the 1st overall lottery pick back in 2015 proved it isn't rigged. There is zero marketability in giving them an overly high lottery draft pick. Too bad they always screw up their picks or fail to develop their talent properly.
