and while i wouldnt go far as to call that a "rough draft"- I would say its not a finished product as it was put together rather quickly- past time to edit, and already see a couple things id move up and down a little here or there.

Last Ten Off:
Franz Wagner, RJ Barrett, Jimmy Butler, Jerami Grant, both Bridges, Wiggins, collins, Rozier, Maxey, Suggs

Zion I had no clue what to do with- so just left him off- but he should prob. be there somewhere- i just had NO clue where.

One other criteria-- (vii) how well their game should hold up. (the Durant corollary)

I'd have preferred putting together this list as to watching the Browns too

I probably would not put KAT that high. He is at least trying on defense this year but has a long way to go. Plus he seems like one of those that could walk away from the game at any time and be happy with it. I don't judge that thought process, once I hit my retirement number I am done, and I absolutely love my job.

I need to see if Doncic is a team player and/or makes it out of the first round before I rate him that high.

Durant, Lebron, Curry, etc. 5 years seems like a stretch (especially for Lebron). Embiid could be a shell by then with his injury history, and Kyrie might flake out completely.

I would love a sneak peak at Lebron's and Durant's remaining hair by 2027, lol.

I think the only thing that stops Durant from being elite is his retirement. He may lose athleticism, but he will always have an elite shot, and the height to use it whenever.

His defense may slip some, but his gravity on offense will always carry extreme value for any offense. His floor is 7 foot Korver, and any team would love to have it.

Yeah.

Old KD will probably be like a better version of old Dirk.

He is unguardable.

Agreed. Any list that puts KAT ahead of Embiid is flawed. Embiid is a two way player. KAT is one dimensional and a liability as a defender.

I am one of Embiid's biggest fans. Honestly- if he didnt have the injury issues I think he would be the 3rd best player in the NBA behidn Giannis and Durant.

Embiid is incredible. He is one of the few superstars that is making a team solid by himself.

id rather have him Embiid over Towns if i could pick.....but the injury stuff concerns me long term. We shall see. I hope he is healthy.

KAT has really taken a step up this last year too if you look. He is just nailing 3's right now

On a shit team with no expectations. I’d take 60 games of Joel Embiid plus playoffs over 76-78 games of KAT which will take me nowhere.

thats true. hey i totally agree.

you just gotta hope Embiid is there for the playoffs.

I mean- I could legitamtely put Embiid #3 on that list- and almost did.

Honestly, I could see one of two things:
1. He ends up on the list based on his talent and impact on the game. In that regard he’s as you say, probably top 3.
2. He doesn’t end up on the list at all because he’s ineligible. You can’t win MVP only playing 60-65 games a year. That’s the only reason Jokic beat him out last year.

I don't think KAT is a liability on defense anymore, he is just not a plus defender. It has been nice to see actual effort.
