Consider adding Episode Numerations, either in the OP or Thread title. It would I/D a series topic from the get, and it's never too late to begin!

No need to get irritated from the Johnny come lately's that will evidently & unwittingly stumble across your spiel.

:suds:
Got it- it's kind of a mess, I may need to just go back and bookmark them all + a few really old Zeke/Barkley comments.

This twitter thread covers the #RBsDontMatter argument in a more eloquent manner for people who do not get butthurt over the joke:

B) and more specifically, Gurley as he is actually a fairly easy target for #RBsDontMatter

This Ben guy is a very good spin master. Watching those clips and reading the sarcasm it is easy to be lulled into his agenda. All cherry picked clips to support his agenda, and comments to steer away what makes those plays actually look easy. Speed, vision, decision making, route running, efficiency in system, threat in system, ability to find space to beat out defenders to the point of attack, are all lost even in his chosen clips to evaluate, and nothing on Pass pro, and/or total usage.

Daddy always said, figures never lie, but Liars always figure...

I don't know, but Gurley was damn near unstoppable in college, he just had a retard at HC and OC that didn't use him right. Keith Marshall was in the same system and didn't have near the success, and as good as Chubb and Michel were in college, neither were on Gurley's level, and they both seem to be doing just fine in the NFL.

Outside of some exceptions the higher the drafted the running back the more likely they are going to be successful of late.

No. Gurley is an amazing running back that just happens to play in an offense that is designed for him to thrive and has maybe the best blocking in the league. He’s still in the elite tier of running backs in the league.

Is this seriously all you got on me? At least try.
what the hell are you talking about? It's your rant, your thread, and it says it all. Nothing to try, it is what it is and most here are on the edge of their seat pending your next thread about it. Nothing to try....We are what we are.

Ironically, Gurley may in fact elevate the offensive line in both the run and pass situations. This is what is being lost. Top tier talent, team wise elevates one another. To ignore this fact is very naive, it's a team sport in which the sum of it's parts are greater than any single part. And by this I mean in all three phases, coaching and roster building, so even the GM and President of Operations working with Cap details are vital to the success of teams.

Of these parts...Offensively run, pass; Defensively run, pass; ST's - KO's both to and away, place kicking, and 2pt conversions, and with each those, them trick plays once executed or not can be game changers.

Top tier talent at high usage positions that offer versatility, such as Kicker Johnny Hecker faking a punt, faking a field goal or even an extra point provides value not normally associated with the position, so likely lost in the normal quantification of the position.

It sort of speaks to the reasoning QB's get the premium NFL contracts compared to other positions. They touch the ball on nearly every offensive down.

im gonna guess u didnt read any of the stats or anything. or the fact that gurley is rated in the 120 or 130s in Wins above Replacement...........all those analytic guys must be wrong. NOt saying they are right.........but theres something to it..........Gurley is special, but the point is in that system, ANYONE could be special

If ANYONE could be special, than why did the Rams go out and sign CJ when Davis & Kelly were already there in the stable?
well davis is banged up. kelly was PS so perhaps his pass blocking? something that CJ does very well. And that fact that they picked a guy off the street 3-4 days before a game, start him, and he goes off actually does not bode well for your point.
