Not a very good series in my opinion.

I thought he was overrated when they got him. Then I realized he was like 19 years old at the time. Considering he is still only 22 he still has potential.

We drafted him as a HS stud, and he just raked at every level for us. He was probably our #2 prospect at the time of the trade. He was only expendable because of our extreme depth (organizationally) at the position (Posey, and the then freshly drafted Susac).

I hope he does well. He was one of my favorite prospects when we had him.

In this case I would do it because MadBum is young and is KC's daddy. He's had all day Monday and Tuesday, and then most of Wednesday. I have a feeling they'll stick with Hudson who will get banged around.

Remember when Charlie could have started Lee in the 4th WS game 2009 with a 2-1 series lead, vs Sabathia with 3 full days rest in a repeat of the 1st game matchup? We went with Blanton who was not sharp, and lost the game as Sabathia pitched well, allowing the Yankees to gain momentum and win the series. Lee himself stated he wanted to pitch. We likely would have taken a 3-1 lead and won the series for back to back championships.

it went to a game 7. it was a pretty good world series. I'll tell you this though, if this was Charlie Manuel coaching that team, he would have taken Bumgarner out in the 7th or 8th. And his accuse would be......well umh umh well...those guys(setup & closer) got us here...and duh....well....imma stick with em
