Everybody knows Tebow was home schooled. You need to get Tebow's mom; jest sayin'. Jed may be up for that task.

I can't see Pelini getting fired this year because of 1) the progress the d-line has made, 2) the injuries and 3) the youth.

And I understand all the arguments and I feel no loyalty to Pelini. THere will be no tears shed here if he is fired.

What I expect though is a lot of changes in his staff though Papoopies may have saved his job if the defense continues to lay the wood the rest the year.

Els definitely needs to go and I would like to see an experienced O Coordinator / qb coach.

I am on the fence on Dobson. With the lines stepping up the past few weeks it appears that they are not as anemic as once thought.

Els, Beck, possibly Papuchis but I don't think anyone would be different there. It is Bo's defense.

The best example of not changing the whole staff is what you are suggesting. Take a look at Texas. Over the last couple of years anytime something goes wrong the fire tese assistants or that one. What do they have to show for it? The same "quality of teams we are producing now.

Plus we've already replaced the two top assistancts--the OC & DC, have we seen any or much improvement?

Els can go on to the recruiting coordinator for football. I like to see Nebraska bring back for LB Mike Ekler. Dobson IMO can be shown the door. I haven't been seen anything that makes him worthy of being retained.

The defense has improved while the offense with the passing game has regressed. Beck IMO makes some very bonehead play calls with a young QB who isn't that great of a passer.

We gave up 40 plus to one of the worst offenses in the Big, I don't feel very good about that. Penn St is bad but next week I think they'll be very good for some strange reason. With 2 games left the only thing we're playing for is trying not to go to a more scrubber bowl game.
It's hard not to get angry however every loss gets easier to deal with knowing that's just how it is now. If no changes we're made after they way last year ended there's no reason to think any will be made now with just losing in slightly less spectacular fashion

Els our recruiting coordinator who wasn't sure who was gonna get a visit over the bye week? No reason to think a coordinator might, umm... coordinate that?

A statement to media who can't talk about recruits due to NCAA rules and regs. IMO that's just coach speak. I've thought he's done a nice job with the recruiting side. His coaching of LBer's on the other hand not so much.

If that is the case why was he able to talk about the first bye week but not the second. He was very clear in what he was saying. Since they had hit the priorities the first bye week they really didn't coordinate anything for the second.

That doesn't seem to me to have a thing to do with what he can talk about or who he can talk to about it.

Fire em or dont fire em , whatever they do I hope they do it quickly. Shit guys Im slowly dying of old age waiting fot these fuckers to get back into the NCG. It literally turns my damb stomach to think of another 3 or 4 years of getting conditioned to a new coach. I know there are a few examples of quick turnaround but I can name hundreds of slow excruciating frustration that only leads to ANOTHER coaching change.

Nebraska Beats MSU while falling to itself!

Nah, I'm good. Earlier this season I was all up on the "Bo must go" band wagon. I was seeing a team that couldn't adjust, was soft in a scheme they seemed unable to understand and a staff unwilling to change.

Now what I am seeing is almost the polar opposite. An aggressive defense that has seen the light, adjustments on the fly and changes that allowed them to do so.
This team is where it should be. No coach in the country would have it sitting anywhere other than where it is today. They are young, talented and are making the progress I wanted to see.

You can't coach around injuries and youth.

The MSU game was the most entertaining game of the season, for me. I saw a Nebraska team compete for the first time in a LOOONNGG time. I thought they played well in the bowl game against SC, but this was a better showing, as far as tenacity and fight. This team did not give up and when you give the ball up like the offense did, it is hard to NOT give up. I think the fact they were giving it up and Sparty wasn't actually taking it away is what kept them fired up. They could still smell victory. They were in it until Sparty made that last long drive - the D was on the field for far too long to prevent that one. I thought the final drive by Nebraska showed great spirit against MSU's starting D. MSU's D couldn't stop Nebraska in that game - only Nebraska could stop themselves.

The turnover bug was huge and the "Bugeaters" almost overcame it! I was impressed by the spirit and agressiveness of the team. I think if Bo can light a fire under Ankrah, he and Gregory will be practically unstoppable the next 3 games (including the bowl).

Ankrah will be gone after this year, so we will need someone like Vestal to step up with the younger guys to come along behind for next year. The future looks bright to me! Well, that is, except for the secondary which will be without a couple heavy hitters following 2013. Let's not run Bo out of the state quite yet!
