New Era Huskers
Tebow coaching Stanton - intriguing.
Everybody knows Tebow was home schooled. You need to get Tebow's mom; jest sayin'. Jed may be up for that task.
I can't see Pelini getting fired this year because of 1) the progress the d-line has made, 2) the injuries and 3) the youth.
And I understand all the arguments and I feel no loyalty to Pelini. THere will be no tears shed here if he is fired.
What I expect though is a lot of changes in his staff though Papoopies may have saved his job if the defense continues to lay the wood the rest the year.
Els definitely needs to go and I would like to see an experienced O Coordinator / qb coach.
I am on the fence on Dobson. With the lines stepping up the past few weeks it appears that they are not as anemic as once thought.
Els, Beck, possibly Papuchis but I don't think anyone would be different there. It is Bo's defense.

The best example of not changing the whole staff is what you are suggesting. Take a look at Texas. Over the last couple of years anytime something goes wrong the fire tese assistants or that one. What do they have to show for it? The same "quality of teams we are producing now.
Plus we've already replaced the two top assistancts--the OC & DC, have we seen any or much improvement?
Els can go on to the recruiting coordinator for football. I like to see Nebraska bring back for LB Mike Ekler. Dobson IMO can be shown the door. I haven't been seen anything that makes him worthy of being retained.
The defense has improved while the offense with the passing game has regressed. Beck IMO makes some very bonehead play calls with a young QB who isn't that great of a passer.
Els our recruiting coordinator who wasn't sure who was gonna get a visit over the bye week? No reason to think a coordinator might, umm... coordinate that?
A statement to media who can't talk about recruits due to NCAA rules and regs. IMO that's just coach speak. I've thought he's done a nice job with the recruiting side. His coaching of LBer's on the other hand not so much.
Nah, I'm good. Earlier this season I was all up on the "Bo must go" band wagon. I was seeing a team that couldn't adjust, was soft in a scheme they seemed unable to understand and a staff unwilling to change.
Now what I am seeing is almost the polar opposite. An aggressive defense that has seen the light, adjustments on the fly and changes that allowed them to do so.
This team is where it should be. No coach in the country would have it sitting anywhere other than where it is today. They are young, talented and are making the progress I wanted to see.
You can't coach around injuries and youth.
