So, while the Big Ten was telling Nebraska in secret communications, "We want you", they were publicly telling the nation, "We really want Texas", it was a total FUCK. Nebraska was the easy FUCK and hook up.
Fantastic.
The summer of 2010. Shall we revisit the timeline? A timeline with actual facts? Lets. (This thread should be in the Toilet Bowl, so I'm not sure why I'm going through the trouble..., but I digress.)

Because it appears the Pac-10, which has its meetings in San Francisco starting this weekend, is prepared to make a bold move and invite Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado to join its league, according to multiple sources close to the situation.
Left out would be Iowa State, Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Nebraska and Missouri.
A&M TO THE SEC?
There does appear to be some resistance to an invitation from the Pac-10 from at least one of the six schools being targeted - Texas A&M. According to a source close to the situation, A&M officials have had serious conversations with the Southeastern Conference about the Aggies joining that league.
In Thursday's editions of the Houston Chronicle, A&M athletic director Bill Byrne was asked if the SEC is an option for the Aggies should the Big 12 break up, and he said, "It might be. You know what? It might be."
June 5th, 2010: Nebraska, Missouri given ultimatum on deciding their futures | www.statesman.com
Once again, directly from Texas, and it just happens to be Austin, TX the home of the Longhorns reporting this news.
Nebraska and Missouri have been given an ultimatum by the Big 12 and told they have until this Friday to decide if they want to remain in the conference or entertain the possibility of joining the Big Ten, two highly placed officials of two Big 12 schools said Saturday.
The deadline was given to the pair of schools by the Big 12 presidents during the league meetings held in Kansas City this past week.
Seriously? Two Days prior it was reported that 6 schools from the Big 12 were almost signed, sealed, and delivered to the Pac 10......, and it is Nebraska and Missouri that are given an Ultimatum to pronounce their allegiance to the Big 12?
Is this fucking Bizarro World?
June 10, 2010: Colorado accepts invitation to join Pac 10. Done deal: Colorado to join Pac-10; what's next for Baylor? | Dallas Morning News
Yep, yet another Texas paper, and it reports Colorado accepting a move to the Pac 10 prior to Nebraska moving to the Big 10.
Big 12 commissioner Dan Beebe said in a release that the conference is still looking for a way to maintain itself without the departing partners.
"The Big 12 Conference has been informed that the University of Colorado has accepted an invitation to join the Pacific-10 Conference. I continue to work through the process that was agreed upon last week by our Board of Directors to address membership issues, and are working tirelessly towards the long-term viability of the Big 12."
June 11, 2010: Earliest report you can find that Nebraska has accepted and will join the Big 10. 2nd in line to leave the Big 12 AFTER Colorado form a time line perspective.
University of Nebraska Approved to Join Big Ten Conference by Council of Presidents/Chancellors - BIG TEN CONFERENCE Official Athletic Site
Now Charlie and TE98 or Coda or any Texas fan, it is up to you to tell us all some sordid or ridiculous timeline of the events that actually happened.
We don't want your opinion, or hearsay. Post some actual facts. Post a time line of events that shows it was Nebraska that started all this mess by moving to the Big 10 FIRST. And no, your word is no good. Post articles, links, and factual information of what actually happened.
Keep in mind, Texas A&M and Missouri also left the conference for the 2012 season. Obviously they were also leaving their annual beatdowns at the hands of Texas so they could get even bigger beatdowns by a much tougher conference in the SEC, right? Mizzou and aTm must have also left the Big 12 because they were tired of the unmerciful beatings at the hands of the mighty Longhorns so that they could join the best conference in the country that had won the last 6 National Titles because they were so afraid of Ol' Tex.
Waiting on pins and needles for your response....
