I read on orangebloods that JFF hates A&M so much and loves UT and he might try to lose the game on purpose.

I don't think you realize how BAD the Aggies defense is.....
They could not stop Texas if they tried.
Every single team they play seems to drop 500 yards and 30 points on the Aggies.

The Aggies have a D+ defense on their best days.
They are a horrible defense.

Texas actually has the best DEFENSE of the bunch.
It is just wildly inconsistent.

There is a difference between a bad defense (A&M) and a puzzling defense (Texas).

Texas has the best defensive line in the country. That is not homerism.
The Horns defensive line is flat out nasty and can overwhelm other teams.

Texas can actually field and A+ defense, but they can also inexplicably play horrible schemes.
One game Texas will look like the 1985 Bears.
The next game Texas will look like the 2012 Saints on defense.

Texas wins both games if the GOOD texas defense shows up.

Texas D: 34.7 ppg given up
A&M: 40.9 ppg

Texas O: 34.4
A&M O: 49.2

I'd be much more worried as a Horn in this matchup than an Aggie

Texas DEFENSE does not allow 34.7 ppg.
I have no idea where you get your stats.
Although in fairness the Aggies don't allow 40.9 ppg either.

But who cares about stats:

This is about the matchup that matters.

A&M has arguably the BEST OFFENSIVE LINE in football.
Texas has arguably the BEST DEFENSIVE LINE in football.

That would determine the matchup.

The Aggies O-line is more consistent.
The Texas Defensive line has a far greater upside and downside.

I think there is nearly 8 NFL players combined in those 2 units.

A&M wont make it to the Cotton Bowl unless they win at LSU.

LSU would likely get the Cotton Bowl nod over them.

A&M is probably going to be playing some Big 10 team in Florida.

The answer is no. Baylor is the best in Texas, no matter how distasteful that sounds

That'll make our defense look better at least...

You think that sounds distasteful...I'm hoping you beat Baylol. So that means I'll be rooting for the sips to win.

Baylor is the best team in TEXAS....

If you literally emphasized the words "IN TEXAS"
I don't think they are a very good road team at all.

Art Briles has 6 road wins since 2007 in conference.
He has beaten 1 Big 12 team with a winning record on the road (8 win Missouri about 4 years ago).
I think Kansas State this year was the first road win in nearly 2 years.

I am not ready to annoit a team that has shown no ability to be decent on the road.

I think Oklahoma State crushes Baylor in Stillwater.

Maybe. We shall see. Not sure if this is based mostly on one match-up vs a vastly improving K'S team. A&M has the worst defense. Texas has a great dline, but WV exposed the defense. Even bad offenses can expose a defense that consistently leaves corners on an island in 0 or 1 coverage. Baylor may have the best defense of the bunch, unless Texas develops a zone coverage option.

It isn't hard to find these stats -

Texas Football - Longhorns News, Scores, Videos - College Football - ESPN

Texas A&M Football - Aggies News, Scores, Videos - College Football - ESPN

Also, you've gotta be fucking kidding about Texas having arguably the best defensive line in football. Nothing at all suggests that.

Someone needs to put Baylol in their place. Maybe the sips can do it in a couple of weeks.

With our defense. We keep them under a 100, I'll be happy.

4 NFL players, assuming Whaley comes back from his injury last night. You should
watch a game

TEXAS hater has probably never watched a Texas game all season.

Even the AGGIES and SOONERS freely admit Texas has arguably the best Defensive Line in Football.

It doesn't mean they have the best defense in football.
It means they have the best D-line arguably.

There are 4 guys on the Texas line that will play on Sundays.

Two of them will likely by first round picks in the next few drafts.

I am a little worried about Whaley. That injury could really screw things up.....

Hopefully he is okay.

It would suck to be missing the best offensive player and best defensive player for the Pokes game.

But Texas has a spectacular defensive line.

Giving up 40 pts doesn't sound like it.

We will certainly find out with Baylor and Texas Tech remaining. In addition to make thing worse, Oklahoma St. is next weekend. After watching Old Miss beat Texas at home, and then Texas loses to BYU away; both by 20 plus....IMO, Texas could lose the remaining 3 games. Last night WVU gave that one away. Maybe Texas and Florida should play...LOL

Texas would beat Florida. We'll see about Okie State on Saturday.

The thing about that game, is WV did not have big rushing yards. Texas had 11 TFL, and 6 sacks, and 5 TOs.

Texas would have put up 11 more pts, if just had scored TDs rather than field goals.

It was a strange game. I'd say the giving up 40 had more to do with red zone ineptitude with the offense, rather than the Tx D line.
