On their home field they would annihilate the Horns or Aggies.
They suck on the road however.

A&M is the better road team in Texas.
For some reason they look a lot worse at home.

The Longhorns are probably the most adaptable team in Texas.
They can play shootouts and grinders.

We will certainly find out with Baylor and Texas Tech remaining. In addition to make thing worse, Oklahoma St. is next weekend. After watching Old Miss beat Texas at home, and then Texas loses to BYU away; both by 20 plus....IMO, Texas could lose the remaining 3 games. Last night WVU gave that one away. Maybe Texas and Florida should play...LOL

Not sure what would suggest that Baylor would annihilate A&M. They haven't faced an offense even remotely as good as theirs in years. It would likely be something like a 54-51 final. Both offenses are phenomenal.

UT can play shootouts and grinders with bad teams and evidently OU. However, it's not hard to out-scheme them. Both BYU and Ole Miss showed this.

Texas should throttle Tech. That is just not a good team. They got to play losers all through their first 7 games and now they're falling apart.

I agree; however, Texas hasn't played a particularly tough schedule and BYU and Ole Miss are not quality teams; yet Texas lost by 20 to both. I agree Tech is not that great...should be a close game. I see no way Texas beats Baylor and they certainly don't have the defense to keep Manziel and company from scoring 50 plus. Might be fun to see them in a bowl game...not sure if Texas wants to show the Texas high school kids(potential recruits) that game.

I doubt it's gonna happen this year unless we meet in the Sugar Bowl if both teams win out. Cotton Bowl may take an SEC East team this year either Missouri or South Carolina.

I don't think you realize how BAD the Aggies defense is.....
They could not stop Texas if they tried.
Every single team they play seems to drop 500 yards and 30 points on the Aggies.

The Aggies have a D+ defense on their best days.
They are a horrible defense.

Texas actually has the best DEFENSE of the bunch.
It is just wildly inconsistent.

There is a difference between a bad defense (A&M) and a puzzling defense (Texas).

Texas has the best defensive line in the country. That is not homerism.
The Horns defensive line is flat out nasty and can overwhelm other teams.

Texas can actually field and A+ defense, but they can also inexplicably play horrible schemes.
One game Texas will look like the 1985 Bears.
The next game Texas will look like the 2012 Saints on defense.


Texas wins both games if the GOOD texas defense shows up.

Our defense is bad. Lot's of Fr and So on the line and in the middle. DB's always seem to be four steps behind a WR. Although it has improved some as the season has moved on and these guys are getting some experience it is kind of a Jeykll/Hyde where they will pick the ball off and block punts but next series give up a two play TD drive. Next years D will be much improved but I expect 2015 and 2016 to be bad ass.
