But, you still would have to be a good team to go undefeated, Louisville is just not a good team....mediocre to decent at best.

Hell even in the ACC they'd probably have 3 or 4 losses at this point

Or just finish with zero to one loss in the ACC like Virginia Tech. Louisville vs VT would be a good game

in 2010, Ohio State was preseason #2 in both polls and finished #5/#5. Arkansas was preseason #17/#19 and finished #12/#12 (4th in SEC) with 3 losses. using Ohio State barely beating the #4 SEC team as an example of Ohio State not being overated is silly

At the end of the regular season Tosu was ranked 6 and Arkansas 8. You're reflecting final rankings. Sec nation was in full force prior to that bowl game confident in our inability to topple the 2nd highest ranked sec team at the time.

in 2009, Ohio State was preseason #6/#6 and finished #5/#5. Oregon was preseason #14/#16 and finished #11/#11 with 3 losses. using Ohio State barely beating Oregon in '09 as an example of Ohio State not being overated is silly

At the end of the regular season Tosu #9 the ducks #7. Oregon was going to "clown stomp" the over rated buckeyes with their amazing "sec like" speed.

in 2002, Ohio State was preason #12/#13 and went on to beat preseason #1/#1 Miami in the title game with Craig Krenzel as the OSU QB. so nobody was calling them overrated. so that is another silly example

the example you want to use is the years Ohio State was ranked preseason top 5 and finished top 5 while beating at least one other top 5 team. I'm sure that has happened before, right?

The examples I used were in context with the annual Tosu is over rated and can't win a game against anyone outside of tB1G. As I stated earlier, we'll see how the season plays out. Hate Tosu all you want but history tells us that they're always in the hunt.

Teddy Bridgewater would have to be carted off the field if he faced our D, we would break his 140lb frame

The ACC isn't that bad this year...

I mean you're shit at the bottom, but your top 4 teams are all very good teams...

fair enough, in the ACC Louisville would finish with 6 losses, in the B1G, they would finish with 3 or 4 losses :D

I'd say the exact opposite, but in a slightly different way -

In the ACC, there would be 2 certain losses, 1 very likely loss, and 1 likely loss (FSU/Clemson, Miami, VT)
In the B1G, there would be 1 certain loss, 2 very likely losses, and 2 likely losses (Ohio State, Wisconsin/Michigan, Michigan State/Nebraska).

LMFAO at a fucking Auburn fan calling out wins being used with dirty players. You bought your national championship and every single person in the world knows it. Get the fuck out of here with your idiocy already.

BTW - Pryor never sat out 5 games because he was kicked off the team and given a ban from the football program. Would be pretty difficult to sit out 5 games you aren't even allowed to be associated with by the university, no?

lol, no. not a shred of evidence. learn the case. mississippi state was the school that was solicited by cecil newton.

if you want to know what a cheating school looks like, take a look at ohio state. there's a reason they couldn't play in a bowl game.

furthermore, only one team that was in the 2010 title game was breaking ncaa rules. it was oregon.

Getting pretty close. Its always fun to take a look late in the season and laugh at the teams projected to be high that dropped out and the teams that are running high right now that were not even considered in the preseason.

Thread fails for faulty premise: it is "late in the season."

Most teams still have to play a bulk of their IC schedule. Look at Missouri, Oregon, Baylor as prime examples. Most teams have 5 or 6 more conference games to play. Let's see what happens over the next 6 weeks, when it really is "late in the season," and see how this pans out.

This really is a stupid argument, and this comes from a Dawg who would love nothing more than to see those Auburn rednecks get the death penalty. The idea that there was some NCAA conspiracy in this is dumb for one reason - the FBI. The FBI investigated this incident due to wire fraud issues. They found nothing. End of conspiracy.

Who said conspiracy?

I find it odd that Cecil propositioned one school for 200k but decided not to proposition the other?

What was the FBI looking for? NCAA infractions or illegal tapping?

Ok, end of "allegations and rumors." Had the money exchanged hands, the FBI was looking for it and would have found it.

Auburn — Seven Major Infractions: Seven major infractions for now, anyway. The Cam Newton situation aside, Auburn has had a difficult time playing by the rules over the years. Its most embarrassing incident occurred in 1991, when 60 Minutes aired recordings of head football coach Pat Dye arranging a loan for a player. The series of incriminating tapes were provided by former star defensive back Eric Ramsey and unveiled a player payment scheme involving the coaching staff and prominent booster “Corky” Frost. For its wrongdoing, Auburn received a two-year bowl ban, a one-year television and ban and lost 13 scholarships over a four-year period. Dye was replaced by Terry Bowden, who became the first Division 1 coach to go undefeated in his first season but had nothing to show for it.
