why? because ohio state has been so many more top flight teams than northern illinois?

they are actually fairly comparable... skate through seasons undefeated or with 1 loss without anyone really knowing how good they are and then get pimpslapped in a BCS game. see: ohio state in 2006 and 2007, northern illinois in 2012.

i think ohio state is better than northern illinois, but that is based on their wins being slightly better and their recruiting. if they are leaps and bounds better, they certainly haven't proved it on the field.

You are beyond retarded if you think the two are comparable. UNI beat literally nobody last year. Nobody. We beat 2 teams that finished ranked. Ask SCar last year how good Michigan was, since they needed a last second hail mary to beat them. That Nebraska team that we demolished last year? UGA needed all 4 quarters to finally get past them, and that was the same UGA who almost played for the title last year. Top 5 Stanford got all they could handle in the Rose from Wisconsin as well. All 3 of these B1G teams, though they lost, played against teams ranked far, far higher and could've won all 3, so it isn't like they aren't competitive.

It's gonna be nice this year to be able to play in a bowl game. Gotta love the ignorance when it comes to the Buckeyes from folks who know little to nothing about the team, the players, or the coaches.

in 2009, Boise State shut down Oregon a lot better than Ohio State did that same year (Boise held Oregon to 9 pts and 152 total yards). Besides, in 2009, Ohio State's D finished top 5 in both scoring D and total D. Ohio State doesn't have that D this season

Why do you think he chose to not enter the traditional draft? At that point he was happy to come back and serve his suspension and move forward. However, the school decided they wanted to wash their hands of him, which is why he had to enter the supplemental draft instead.

Haven't you been paying attention on here? Ohio State's been undefeated for a year and a half but we were in any other conference in the FBS, FCS, or NAIA, we've have 3-4 losses by now.

in 2010, Ohio State was preseason #2 in both polls and finished #5/#5. Arkansas was preseason #17/#19 and finished #12/#12 (4th in SEC) with 3 losses. using Ohio State barely beating the #4 SEC team as an example of Ohio State not being overated is silly

in 2009, Ohio State was preseason #6/#6 and finished #5/#5. Oregon was preseason #14/#16 and finished #11/#11 with 3 losses. using Ohio State barely beating Oregon in '09 as an example of Ohio State not being overated is silly

in 2002, Ohio State was preason #12/#13 and went on to beat preseason #1/#1 Miami in the title game with Craig Krenzel as the OSU QB. so nobody was calling them overrated. so that is another silly example

the example you want to use is the years Ohio State was ranked preseason top 5 and finished top 5 while beating at least one other top 5 team. I'm sure that has happened before, right?
