I've been hearing that the tide is turning for 6 years and it has yet to happen nor does look like its even remotely close.[/QUOTE]

I'm sure you were thinking the same thing when Big Blue was handing Cooper his lunch during our streak (if you're old enough to remember), we Wolverines fans got cocky and thought the same "they'll never reach OUR level of play" and (two cheating head coaches later) you did.................

Right and Michigan was supposed to win in '01 and '04 when they were ranked much higher. Look at '07 when Ohio State replaced their QB, Top two running backs and top two WR from the year before and yet OSU still won.

Lets revert back to my original point in this thread. It doesn't matter what the situation is. Hurt players, new players, old players ect....

As it sits right now The chances of OSU beating Michigan are always going to be high.

Deal with it son.

Well, Michigan has higher recruiting standards and that's why you guys get all the Maurice Clarett's... :pound:

We didn't reach your level of play. WE surpassed it while you guys fell off the map.

Oh man those unlucky 13 years w/ Jon 'The Pooper Scooper' Cooper. I knew the tide wouldn't change in The Rivalry until his sorry ass was finally fired.

I thought RichRod did a great job for your team:pound:! And don't give me that :bullshit:about a talent gap. Your team has NEVER had issues getting the nations top talent to play in ann arbor. You wanna put the blame somewhere fine but put it in the right place. RichRod was a shitty HC for your team & didn't utilize his talent correctly.

True, but Rich Rod didn't really utilize that ability to get top level talent. I mean come on man, look at the data from the 4 classes that were essentially Rich Rod classes
Rivals Scouts ESPN
2008 - 10 / 6 / 13
2009 - 8 / 14 / 10
2010 - 20 / 12 / 14
2011 - 21 / 29

Now compare that to OSU rankings in that span

2008 - 4 / 4 / 6
2009 - 3 / 1 / 9
2010 - 26 / 20 / 16
2011 - 11/ 6 / 7

Outside of 2010, Ohio State had much stronger class (and even 2010 wasn't that bad compared to Michigan).

Furthermore, Ohio State didn't have to deal with a pro to spread to pro transition when it comes to players needed. Remember, Braxton Miller was a a Tressel recruit, who fitted in quite nicely to the system that Meyer wants to run. Can't say the same about Denard and Hoke.

So again, keep living in that world of denial, when reality hits it will be sweet, sweet Buckeye tears. :suds:

All those great recruits and Yet the team has done progressively worse each year under Hoke.

Talk about denial. You are a walking, talking, typing example.

Unfortunately, Hoke hasn't really won a big game, especially in B1G play. IMO, he has lost to quite a few less talented teams as well. On the flip side, Urban has won quite a few games, but really hasn't won any significant/big games himself. He has continued the domination over Michigan though, and Michigan has been the whipping boy for their two main rivals (MSU and OSU) for most of Hoke's tenure.

I think Michigan needs to consider moving on if Hoke loses to both MSU and OSU again this season. I wouldn't be against giving him a 5th year in 2015, but if he can't get a pretty decent return from his guys this year then it might be wise to cut and run. I think it would be easier to attract a big named coach with the young talent at Michigan now then it was the last two times we had to find a coach.

I do hope I'm wrong about Hoke, but I just don't feel too confident in him right now.

I've noticed that you typically have an actual voice of reason.

As opposed to your fellow fans that automatically think the tables are turning despite one single shred of evidence to back it up.

And I'm sure that it has nothing to do with that up until this year those recruits of which you speak have been all underclassmen.

:L

Seriously, when Hoke took over there were 8 scholarship O-linemen, that's not even enough for a two-week. Hence why so many were pressed into service well before they were ready, i.e. last year.

And look at the receiving corp once Hemingway (a Carr recruit) left, nothing but love for Gallon and Roundtree, but your proto-typical deep threat they were not. They were more suited for slot than wideout.

So keep ignoring the facts staring you right in the face. Now that Michigan has talent, depth and experience it's time to reassert our rightful place.

You mean evidence like coming within two points of winning a game which basically everyone expected Michigan to get run off the field?

And evidence like a dramatic uptick in recruiting?

Upsets happen all the time especially in rivalry games so one game means nothing even if it was close. Overall, your season was an embarrassment.

Your team looked god awful in the bowl game as well.

Nevermind almost losing to Akron.

Your recruiting was down last year too. Do you live in a cave or something?

Last year Hoke had more of his recruits then he did the previous regime's recruits yet he did significantly better when he had mostly R Rods players.

And you think its getting better????

Yes, and again they were still at best sophomores/red-shirt freshmen.

But to that point, of those two top classes (2012 and 2013) 50 of the 51 recruits are still with the program, that's an almost unheard of retention rate. So what happens when they become juniors and seniors?

Yes, let me casually brush off the fact that Hoke out-coached Meyer.

Yes the team was inconsistent, that's what happens when they are as young as Michigan was.

And oh, I wouldn't say recruiting was "down" last year, the reason for the "low" ranking was because they only had 16 scholarships available. But they made the most of them, landing quality recruits meeting their needs, such as Peppers.
