Is Cody Green really the best option as the backup quarterback?

It might be dead depending on who the qb is.......

If martinez is still the qb their really is no reason to run it.......

I think questioning Cody Green as a QB is jumping the gun. He has shown effort and ability when he's in. His poor game play in washington was more due to good defense then poor decisions. In his last game he had some off passes but who on the offense didn't play sub-par? I bet if you gave him a full game to play we would be shouting his praise just like T-magic. As a fan you need to watch being swept up by what other "Experts" have to say. If I had to question anything that nebraska or its players have done, I would question why they always run D Rob to the outside when he is a pounder.

Since when did Washington have a good defense? Green just did not hang onto the ball. Plain and simple. And giving him a break because "everybody else sucked" during the SDSU is ridiculous.

Also, I'm not being "swept up" by what experts have to say. I make my opinions and judgments from what I see on the field. Green isn't worthy of being #2 IMO.

Before anyone jumps, I thought the same last year.

You may have a point there............

I guess we have to go with our only other option and put Latravis Washington at #2

Agreed, that is a joke of a website. but that article makes a few valid points

Bleacher Report is nothing but a message board for those with super egos.......

They think they are extra smart....... They think they having writing talent...

In actuality their information is usually 4 days behind most message boards....

Yes.... The "article" has some good points....... but nothing I haven't seen on any of the 4 message boards I frequent......

Calhoun, the good defense comment was targeted towards the defensive play that down. Even poor defenses can have good downs. By your reasoning we should have Lee as our backup? Lets look at last year, it wasn't just his arm that was bad (injury) it was his judgement and leadership on offensive. Your opinion is from how many snaps this year? You seem like on of those people who call the game a win or lose after the first series. Give the guy a chance to get confortable and develope, this isn't the pros.

Hello all, well I've just seen this site for the first time, when I saw my first posting. It happen to be about the second string quarterback Green! WOW, what a mind reader.... no mater what the circumstances might be, it's the humble opinion of many friends and mine that he should always remain second string, no mater how many quarterbacks we might loose! I would further state that I would feel a lot safer if his but was warming K States bench instead of NUs!!!

I would like to add that if our coaches trusted Green to do well against good opponents, they would have placed him in that type of situation before.

I don't give a rat's ass about Lee other than he should be given a chance this year to at least play some garbage time since he is actually healthy.

My other point is Green looked as terrible as Lee did last year and looks no better this year.

So putting him in during the big xii championship game vs Texas AT THE ONE FREAKING YARD LINE............

Doesn't fall into the category of a difficult situation against a good opponent......

That's just a fucking dumb statement.........

You're the only who made a really fucking dumb statement by saying people are racist because they don't like Green as a QB. I don't like Green as QB because of the obvious... He stinks EVERY time he has had the chance to play.

Placing him in the Washington game was a boneheaded thing to do. Luckily it only cost NU a TD and not all of the momentum we had up to that point.

You should be able to figure out that what I meant by the statement you quoted, is the coaches would place him in against a good opponent for A FULL FUCKING GAME if they had confidence in him!

Evidently they don't and possibly never will.

My parting shot...
Maybe they should start Green and let him play the whole KSU game and after we lose that game I'm sure you and a few other people will make excuses for him.

I was just trying to prove a point about an HR woman that should've been fired for her misdeeds. Since there's a double standard here in America, she is still employed at the same company.

Oh yeah, I found out yesterday that she has broken another rule and they continue to keep her. Go figure?

Just remember you started this race thing in the first place.

Change my words? You've read my other posts about Green, so you should've been able to figure out what my point was.

Besides, I stated on another post that if Green does start against a good opponent, I hope he does well. I certainly don't wish him to do poorly and have us lose a game.
