Is Carson Wentz now the best back up QB in the nfl?

Did the Eagles play more inspired football when Hurts came in?
He ran for a couple 1st downs early and that slowed the pass rush a little...then a broken coverage for a TD and a few first downs...but I wouldn't fit him for a gold jacket or anything at this point

Compared to Wentz's performance though?

I wouldn't read too much into either performance...I wouldn't say he should be the starter...but he was effective...

I didn't see game so thank you for this. But one has to wonder if they are more inspired with Hurts in there

It seemed that way as they moved better and Hurts ran a few times as well which the Pack was not prepared for

I'd be shocked if Wentz is still the starter next week. Hurts wasn't great by any means but he made a few plays, and that's more than you can say about Wentz for the past month.

Guess it matters how much they let their financial cluster fuck with Wentz dictate their decisions

I'm just holding out hope that we can trade him to a desperate team willing to take a chance on him, like Chicago or something, idk. Could see the Colts trying to reunite him with Frank Reich to see if they can get back some of that 2017 magic

Hurts looked pretty good and he may be better off behind that horrible OL....he can move more than Wentz can.

100% on the Colts, reuniting with Reich, Rivers retires

makes the most sense by a mile

He had one good drive for a TD and when the Pack got the ball back did a 3 and out. When the Pack punted the moron special teams allowed a punt return for a TD so Jurts had nothing to do with the second drive. The 3rd drive he threw a pick
Wentz completed 6 of 15 passes for 79 yards. No TD's or INT's.

Hurts started 4 of 7 for 92 yards before finishing 5 of 12 for 109 yards with 1 TD and 1 INT. He also ran the ball 5 times for 29 yards.

Who threw the int to end the game? QB isn't their only issue...

I wouldn't make that move for the Colts. They need to draft a young QB and let him sit and learn for a year or two behind Rivers or whoever. Even Wentz' base salary is too high at this point. He isn't worth backup pay at this stage.
