Dude goes 26 tds 8 picks a 96 rating and damn near makes an afc championship and has people out here talking like dude was trash in 2020.
ESPN has him listed as QB18 that season, so not really special, but for Mayfield it was "special" especially compared to 2019 where he had 22TDs and 21 interceptions (finding his inner Jameis Winston)

And I don't believe anyone had argued he's elite. Just saying qb 18 in year 3 is probably worth more than literally nothing.

Middle of the pack starting QB.....everybody was denying that earlier in the thread.

How about we filter out the non qbs and the guys who played like 20 snaps
First off there is no one under 250 attempts on the list ahead of him so I'm not sure what you are saying. But filter out whomever you want and he's still near the bottom :noidea:

I sent a letter to all NFL teams that we have 2 Baker Mayfield threads. One that is 31 pages. The other that is 48 pages. And about another 4 pages in our 2022 free agency thread.

So that should up his value from nothing to a 4th rounder as long as Cleveland eats 60% of his contract.

/end thread.

Heck, his career comp % is 61.6%. That's horrible.

Cleveland still knows it can't release Mayfield until the Watson thing is settled, and who's got to do that? The villain of the league, Roger Goodell. Mayfield can't move on until it's settled.

Drew Lock's career completion % is 59.3% and a fair few Seahawks fans are all-in on him being the 2022 starter. Then again completion % doesn't include sacks which are effectively incomplete passes for negative yards. Lock has a lower sack rate than Mayfield.

Comp % also doesn't tell you who throws downfield and who doesn't. There is IMO no perfect stat to judge QBs by other than your eyes. But all possible ways to measure will, IMO, show Baker as inaccurate.

Look at Landry, OBJ and Hunts catch % before they Baker as their QB. And then with Baker.

It’s very telling.

While i don't believe him to be a bust i do question his leadership and accuracy. Mostly his accuracy.

Answering OP question, yes he's a bust. However I a see a long career as a back up QB in the league.

I wouldn't call Mayfield, Goff, Wentz, or Mariota busts. I'd call Haskins a bust.
