Kaepernick is a mediocre QB, and he's still twice as good as Alex check-down-to-the-running-back Smith.

I just think Smith would give the Niners, or the Chiefs a better chance to win than Kaepernick does.

He took a 2-14 team and turned them into a 11- 5 playoff team. So i say yes any QB that can do that is worthy of the title and pay of a franchise QB and right now KC has no better QB so he is the franchise QB for the Chiefs.

Is he worth the money? No. But NFL QB(s) in get paid. It is what it is. Any above average to good QB signing a new contract in the modern NFL is going to get at least $15 mil APY. That is just the way it works. I don't know what the asking price is or offers have been, but they need to start around $15 mil APY.

This is one of those statements I simply can not get my head around. To me, this reads like, "I just think Jon Kitna would give the Niners, or the Chiefs a better chance to win than Brad Johnson. :what:

From the perspective of a non-homer who watched Alex for 7 years, this is looney tunes.

For the rest of the board who doesn't realize JDM has escaped from a retirement home & is wandering around places with a smart phone not knowing who he is or what decade he's in, just refer to this post.

Someone should seriously help this guy. Where's social services?

As usual, my post is entirely factual. Smith blows kaepernick out of the water.

Well at least you're not all vindictive or childish about being criticized like most people are. I hope I'm that level headed when I'm 97 years old. :suds:

I know a crappy QB when I see one (we see a lot of those around here) Smith isn't one of them. At least not anymore. I don't particularly care to compare Alex to Kaep, but this bizarre "but he is a game manager" to diss Smith nonsense needs to stop from some people.

As for the poll itself, I would have to say no as of right now. It puts us in a tough spot as people have said, but he simply hasn't quite yet. If he plays more like he did in the 2nd half of last year, then it would be time to think about it a little more.

Wow. He can throw a rainbow 39 whole yards to a WIDE open receiver if he steps into his throw.

I take it all back.

Come on, Sickness. That is great bit of quarterbacking. Great pocket awareness. Great footwork and mechanics. Great throw. Well... maybe i am throwing great around a little to loosely but pretty dang good display of all named attributes.

Your hate is showing.

He hit him completely in stride, too.
