Interstate 77 to Interstate 81 Through SC and NC

Anyone live in this area that can let me know if 77 is smooth sailing? Not sure how affected this road was from the storms. Please advise

77 should be fine. I think it was mainly 40 that got hammered. But even that is back open now. (1 lane each direction in spots)

Ohh thanks a lot. I was hoping to hear from someone. I usually take i95 to Richmond then cut over to catch 81. I am thinking this will be a more scenic drive

To NH from FL. Make this trip once a year. I do all I can to avoid DC, Philly, Bmore, NYC, etc. Which is why I normally jump over at Richmond, I usually stay the night in Hagerstwon MD.
