When asked about KC during the post game press conference a very cautious, deliberate, J. Gruden said this in relation to his QB's
"There is no controversy" referring to who starts, followed by this about Cousins performance ( note the referrence to Griffin here)
"He (Kirk ) was fired up to get this opportunity, nobody wants to start when your starter is unable to play, but he was excited about this opportunity and made the most out of it, and to see him have a slow start throw the interception bounce back and get those two drives at the end of the first half, was impressive."
Looks to me like he is beginning to trust KC again, but hedged his bet a bit when he referred to Griffin as his starter. Of course as others have said it was only a preseason game and "impressive" in a preseason game might not carry as much weight as a regular season game. It also seems that he has his mind made up about who his starter is........"There is no controversy" I believe is a reference to where he stands on the issue because it seems everywhere else there is one.
