so another guy in my league has been snake bit with his WR. He approached me about acquiring Welker or possibly Marshall. It's a 12 team standard league. my dilemma is that i could take advantage of his unfortunate WR situation and his abundance of RB and try to deal a package centered around Welker for Forte, but then i become thin on WR. Should i try to upgrade my RB at the expense of my balance or stand pat? Even with Ridley coming back strong last week, im still weary of his reliability, especially when Vereen returns. :noidea:

My team:

QB: Stafford, Cutler
WR: Marshall, Welker, Hilton, Emmanuel Sanders, Keenan Allen
RB: Martin, Ridley, Sproles, Tate
TE: Fleener, G. Graham
Denver D

His team:

QB: Wilson, E. Manning
WR: Cobb, Amendola, Thompkins, Blackmon, Hartline
RB: Forte, T-Rich, Moreno, Fred Jackson, Jacobs
TE: Finley
Minny D

I hate trades in fantasy football, you trade for a guy then he gets hurt then the guy you traded goes on an epic run.

your team is solid keep it as it is

I would not sell low on Martin right now. Poor timing.

There is as much risk in standing pat as there is in trading because Welker could easily be the one to get injured. I think it is a little silly to avoid trading for that reason.

An offer of Welker for Forte would make sense to me. Welker is the number 1 WR in most formats right now. If your opponent is hard up for a WR, he might go for it.

As to your balance question, I don't think it hurts you much at all. Between Hilton and Keenan Allen, you have 2 good options to fill your WR2 spot.

Welker for Forte straight up makes a lot of sense to me... Or you could go Hilton & Ridley for T-Rich. A lot of people are buying low on T-Rich right now.

Was about to type this. He has the RB depth to make this trade, and like tlance said, Allen and Hilton can be fine as your #2. You then gain a very good #1/2 RB.

And you hate fantasy football trading b/c you probably got burnt one time from an injury/sending player went off? Weak. That's like chicks swearing off men b/c they got cheated on one time. Get out there and try again brah! I swear you'll love the trading. ;)
