Wow. WOW!!!

I'm so pumped up right now. Ziggy freaking Ansah!!!

Unbelievable. The Lions finally did something right. And when I say "did something right" of course I mean that they finally did what I wanted them to do.

As many of you probably remember, I've been driving the Ziggy bandwagon ever since the Senior Bowl. And I haven't waivered. He's the next Pierre-Paul or my name isn't Shok!!

Those of you worried about him being a project, let me attempt to put your mind at ease. I don't think the Lions would have taken him this high based simply on his athletic ability and potential. There is one more variable not talked about a lot but this is a perfect example.

INSTINCT

You can't teach it. You can't develop it. You can't force it.

You are either born with it or you aren't. What Ziggy lacks in experience he more than makes up with instinct.

He is going to be a force on the edge for us. And it won't take as long as some of you think. He's a natural. He has a feel for the game and he is in the perfect situation to thrive. We will begin to see flashes his rookie season. And I predict by next season he will be a star.

A pass rushing specialist that can also tackle and chase down QB's & RB's trying to turn the corner due to his raw athleticism and instinct and feel for the game. It's a beautiful thing.

I'm not used to this. Normally I'm throwing hate at the Lions the day after a draft. This is brand new territory.

It does make me a little nervous that Pete Prisco gave the Lions an A+ grade and said that Ansah was his favorite pick of the entire draft. Prisco is an idiot. But I won't let that spoil my mood.

I'm in SUCH a good mood that I might not even kick my TV if the Lions draft another WR tonight. If they draft Justin Hunter to pair with Megatron & Broyles I'll complain of course. But I won't go ballistic like I normally do.

I'll go on record saying that I would love Arthur Brown. Talk about instinct. If we added Ziggy AND Brown to our front seven all of you would be amazed at how good our defense would become.

It's probably asking too much for the Lions to do what I want for two straight picks. But I would LOVE the Ziggy & Brown duo!!

Hope you're right Shok, and you did nail it. Too bad Pride isn't here to eat a little crow for ya.

Shok trying to put my mind at ease makes me uneasy. Seriously man, this is an odd change of pace. I slept on the pick. While I'm no longer visibly ill or physically shaken, I'm far from excited. But... There are six rounds to go, we'll see what else comes our way.

Are you excited the most because no BYU student/alum has been arrested, ever?(aside from drinking chocolate milk on a Sunday of course)

Yes. The Lions need a little more church in the locker room. (and not the Catholic priest/altar boy shenanigans type of "church", but the good old fashioned hold the door open for strangers, visit nursing homes, walk your grandma across the street, smile at babies, go on a Missions trip Mormon values type of "church")

Ziggy is a bad ass on the field and a perfect gentleman off the field. I like that. We need that!!

By the way, I think it's okay for Mormons to drink chocolate milk on a Sunday as long as they don't slam the glass on the table when their done and shout "Jesus f***ing Christ that sh!t was good!!" But maybe we can ask Ziggy to clarify.

Will his 2 year mission be that of coming to Detroit, cleaning up the locker room mess and GETTING THE LIONS INTO THE PLAYOFFS?

D'you know celery is a superfood?

Celery is a superfood for rabbits maybe.

Even with peanut butter spread all over it I still can't get it down without A LOT of work. I feel like a cow chewing cud all day just trying to get it down to a manageable size.

Celery is stupid.

It's the only negative-calorie food out there. Your body actually has to use more calories digesting celery than it gains.

So if you're trying to lose some weight celery is the shizz-nits!

Not to mention all the calories used in just trying to chew the damn thing.

There are easier ways to lose weight in my opinion.

Celery boosts testosterone BIG TIME. Chew a few pieces before you go into the gym. It also releases natural pheromones when you chew it, leading to the ladies finding themselves inexplicably attracted to you (try it yourself). Lifters have known the celery trick for decades. Only now is new age media catching up to it. Wonder food.

If you want to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you eat, simple as that. Best way to burn calories is with weight lifting and adding muscle. Muscle burns fat even when you sleep.

Didn't know there was a link between celery and testosterone... very interesting, wonder what that's all about?

Not true! While that sounds like a good way to lose weight, the best way is to work in a greenhouse all summer! 112 degrees @ 100% humidity literally melts off the extra fat.

I lose my "winter weight" every year by the end of June. I lost 25 pounds one summer...

If it's green and comes from the Earth it's probably good for you. :10:
And yes, locking yourself in a giant sweat box is also a good way to drop some pounds haha
