rollins isn't going to cut if offensively. while howard might at times, he's a fucking statue at 1st. everyone in the above lineup can play. and with the exception of brown, play as in defensively and offensively.

i would not include revere as can "play defensively". have you watched him out there so far this year? what an adventure when a ball is hit to him! and his arm is terrible.

I would be happy if they sit Rollins. Anything to prevent that option from vesting sounds good to me.

Revere will continue to allow outs to be hits and as a result more runs for opposing teams. he plays too shallow and thinks he can catch up to long fly balls because of his speed. He also misjudges the ball and takes poor routes. Yes he does make exiting catches going to his left or right but that does not make up for his inability to track balls and for his putrid arm.

Yeah, I wouldn't say Revere, Ruf, or Byrd can "play defensively." Byrd and Ruf (at first base) are average at best, and Revere is slightly below average.
