I've been busy.

International move
looking for house and cars
starting new job
My grandaughter's Brooke and Caroline have arrived. ( i'll buy the Patriots get-ups when feasible)
My California house sold on 1st day - more paperwork!
Incoming briefs and yes, more paperwork!
Somehow, I failed to put my picks in for 1st week of pickem's!

So I have been back in Okinawa for a year. I'm ready to retire. Last years new tax law had some unintended consequesces. For me, I cannor retire here or my expenses to move back will not be paid (very expensive)

My new plan is to take a job in the US - anywhere - and work another year. That will cover my return expenses.
If I get real lucky, I'll find a job in South Carolina or Georgia. !st pick is Savannah. I can move as soon as September!

I have 3 grandchildren I have not met. My father and my mother in law are both on their last leg. I'd like to see some of my Pats fan friends when I get back - maybe at a game?

2020 game in Nashville, Jacksonville or Miami?

If 2020 is Brady's last season, getting tickets will be nearly impossible or will cost at least 10x face value, even for a hirrible team. Might be just as much fun to meet somewhere that has food, drinks and big TVs. Right now, I'm looking at switching my 65" TV for a 105" screen and projector in my man cave.

Nashville, I'll buy your first beer.
Savannah is great to visit, IMHO, but I would not want to live there.
SC would be a better choice for me. Somewhere around Beaufort.
TN is great too. No state income tax. Knoxville or Chattanooga to retire.
Nashville to live/work if I wasn't ready for retirement. I'm not.

My brother has lived on Signal Mountain just outside Chatanooga for about 20 years. He bought a beautiful house when there were very few built. The place has exploded and he's done some really nice upgrades. He paid about $200,000 for it and it would sell for $1M + today. Tennessee has become THE place to move to.

I just sent a resume for Seattle area position to a contact who I previously worked with.

Would I have to call myself NWSouthie?
