The Fighting Illini are the biggest surprises in the B1G so far this season, and head coach Tim Beckman is the favorite to be named the B1G coach of the year at this point. New Illini OC Bill Cubit has the offense performing at a top level, and QB Nathan Scheelhasse is looking awesome.

The Illini defense however, might be as bad as Nebraska's.

Cornhusker QB Taylor Martinez's turf toe status is uncertain.

The current line is Nebraska -9 1/2 with the O/U at 60 1/2

We could see 75 plus points being scored in this game with the winner being the last team with the ball.

Because of Martinez's turf toe, I'll say:

Illinois 38
Nebraska 37

I was uncertain enough about Nebraska's defense to stay away from this one. Illinois could get the upset here.

should be a good game, I think Nebraska will win, but I won't rule out an upset just yet.

Martinez hasn't practiced for 3 weeks.

RS Freshman Tommy Armstrong likely to get the start for Nebraska.

As long time Illini fan. I have no faith in Beckman yet. Nebraska covers.

B1G Red wins. Illinois can put up some pts so Nebraska better show up with some sort of D. They will run all day on Illinois though.

Heard on tonight's BTN Live that Taylor Martinez is definitely not playing in this game.

Pedro being out may not matter, spected to be quite windy at game time favors us slightly as we may just run power all day. Throw in our fucked up defense and this could cover the over by 30. I'm 50/50 even on who could win. Good luck to the Illinois fans tomorrow however it goes

Taylor Martinez being out is actually a blessing in disguise. Means Nebraska's offense will have at least 1.5 less turnovers and that Illinois has to cover the field vertically on defense.

Scheelhaase is on a nice run in his Senior year after Sophomore and Junior campaigns that leave a lot to be desired. Even with that said, he was awful against the only solid team they played in Washington, and that was at home.

Gonna be cold and windy in Lincoln, and with a one-dimensional offense from Illinois, I actually look for the Husker defense to step up and play fairly well.

Martinez sucks
Always has.
Looks like Nebraska has found them a real QB with this new guy.

He looks like the real deal.

Taylor Martinez is Nebraska's Chris Rix.

4 year starter that puts up a lot of stats, but never wins anything of note and shits the bed when he is needed.

Nebraska's offense next year

Tommy Armstrong
Ameer Abdullah
Kenny Bell
Terrell Newby
Imani Cross
Jamal Turner

The same guys that are playing right now. The major problem next year, is the O line will be all new.

The defense will be the same defense as this year, but with new defensive backs. Can you say 50 points per game scored on that defense?
