Well the Hawks D outscored Denver last night. Add in that Harvin kickoff return TD and you have 16-8 ass whoopin with ZERO offense

doesn't matter. If the offense doesn't move the ball at all none of your scenario actually happens.

What happened was a bonus but no way in hell can a smart team rely on defense to do that much that often without any offensive production

My point was that the defense made that possible by holding a record breaking offense to 14 points. If they have a shitty defense and bank on their offense they lose 48-17.

Or maybe it happens more. Our poor offense kept moving the ball (pretty easily actually) and kept our dominating D on the sidelines. If they had taken a knee three times every possession we might have won by 60

top offenses not winning SBs doesn't mean and has nothing to do with defense winning games or SBs.

defense has never ever won a game ever. You need balance on both sides of the ball but offense is and always will be why teams win games or don't win games. You want a defense to help with field position but you need to score and defense cant do crap about that long term and barely short term with lucky int. returns etc.

NO doubt about it... A good defense keeps you in games and gives you a chance ... You do need a balanced offense though or you can waste having such a great D...

the defense did nothing to help Eli make great passes on those final/last drives..they contributed to the possibility of it happening but did not make it happen..the offense made it happen

Yeah but New Yorks D held that juggernaut offense in check and gave the Giants O that chance... Pats were just abusing everyone else offensively.... Giants D was a HUGE factor in why they were in the game at the end...
