Devonta did not even catch this ball in picture, reverse angle was pretty conclusive at showing that. No wonder he got up quickly and looked like he wanted team to hustle to snap the ball quickly.

You want to take away a catch that was never challenged by a bad coach who always shits the bed in a big spot but we can’t consider why the Eagles offense had a poor statistical day yesterday?

After removing this from his stats since it wasn't a catch he had 1 catch for 7 yards. Impressive...

On further review, it was clear that no such catch occurred. Smith bobbled the ball on the way down, and while no review ever took place, it's extremely likely a replay review would have reversed the call to an incomplete pass and a turnover on downs for the 49ers. An overturn by an official, a challenge flag from the 49ers or an expedited review from the league office in New York all could have reversed the call, but none came before the Eagles snapped the ball.

His decision not to challenge would have loomed larger if he wasn’t retarded enough to block Reddick with a TE and ruin his chances of competing in the game.

It was a catch. Amazing catch. The records shall always reflect it as a catch. But great veteran move by DeVonta to get the offense in hurry up to snap the ball.

My theory is in the first half if you haven't used a TO and you aren't sure about a replay, just call a TO and then review it. Especially in a case like that where the team is rushing up after a big play and you aren't really set perfectly anyway. Just call the TO and regroup and give yourself time to decide if you want to challenge or not.

In the second half it gets a little tougher to "waste" a TO
