Why not just trade him now to the 49ERS and get it over with he is done in Washington

Andrew Brandt @AndrewBrandt

Deal offered by @Redskins added 5 years (6 total) with $29M more guaranteed than $24M scheduled. So $1M more than Transition Tag next year.4:15 PM · Jul 17, 2017

What the heck makes you think that??

Hey country, I want you to sign the rest of your career away to me, and for that I will give you $1m more guaranteed than what Im going to have to givre you at minimum next year just to have the right to match the real offers you will get next year... should I choose to be stupid and transition tag you.

If Kirk was even THINKING of signing long term next year, Bruce just burned that bridge one would think.

Kirk Cousins agent didn't counter or even have a sit down I say he is gone might as well trade him now to the highest bidder

It wasn't even a million dollars

Bruce Allen says WAS offered Kirk Cousins $53M gtd. Barely above bare minimum:

2017 salary: $23.9M
2018 trans. tag: $28.7M

Total: $52.6M

Don't claim to know all the rules regarding someone tagged.. so i'll ask,,, can the Redskins even trade KC now that he is legally and binding on the tag this year... and if so,, does Kirk have a say on that trade.. and would the team, being the Skins, still owe him the full 24 million, or would his new team be on the hook,,, just don't know... if they can trade him they probably should to the team whose QB goes down in pre-season and tank this year and draft a rookie next year. What the F are the rules anyway?

If I were them I'd trade him to the highest bidder even if its the Browns lol

Any team that takes him now pays the $24M, but cant talk long term deal until the end of the 2017 season. So its a one year rental.

As for the highest bidder, would you give up a high draft pick for a guy you cant even mention a long term deal to until the end of the season??

Now if Im Shanahan and I feel comfortable I can get him long term next year... I call up Bruce and offer a 7th in 2019 and tell him look.... you dont really want him, and he aint going to stay. So you might as well start Colt and suck it up. Then come draft time I might even be willing to trade with you so you can move up to take the rookie you covet any way.

Whomever traded for him would have to assume his tag # and could not negotiate a new deal until after the seasons. so for all intent, he is a one year rental.

There will be possibly a few teams that will want him so I say highest bidder if you want him 49er's what you gonna give up for his rights

And if IM Shanahan... nothing. Im going to sit tight, wait for Kirk to pull a Champ Bailey, then offer you Carlos Hyde for Cousins AND your 2nd rounder.

SO i got to ask....

If your Boss fucked up your name, not once, but twice in a scripted statement he was fucking READING as he spoke.... would you seriously want to stay with that company??

I mean its not like he was trying to pronounce Samaje Perine..

For fuck sake Bruce... its KIRK, not Kurt you moron.

why would the redskins trade him for anything less then the 3rd round comp pick ? that would be stupid . so reptec the answer is yes technically its possible . but who would give up a 3rd rounder for a one year rental ? and why would the skins take less

i wouldnt doubt you see KC RG3d in his last year the way these baboons operate

What team will make a trade for a single year QB at the cost of 24 million?

You don't reply to stupid offers. If you do, you make an equally ridiculous one to let Bruce Allen know where he can shove his contract.

they own his rights they can tag or sign him long term and he more then likely will sign long term with the 49ers if that's where he wants to be
