Predictions this early are really tough... I want to say they have 10 wins in the bag, but until we see what other teams do, injuries and the way the season goes we just don't know. Did anyone see our defense completely fall apart at this time last year? No chance. We were all still worried about the offensive line and what Tress would do with the offense. We didn't know that Jeffery would become "The Show" (ugg, don't nickname yourself, dude.) I think the consensus was that the Defense will be "fine" and the offense was the question mark.
I'm eager to see training camp and get a better idea of what Tucker is actually doing on the defense. (last year he ran Lovie's scheme, this year he's got control- for better or worse it's his now. Some new d-line and LB coaches- spring brings new life, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt on thin ice. GO Bears!

Okay... Getting back on track here.

If the Bears D improves to a middle-of-the-road unit (let me qualify that statement by saying not based upon yardage but based upon preventing scores, making key stops, etc.), then I could see the Bears winning 10 or more. Last season they could have won 12 or 13 with an average D, so I don't see that as unlikely either.

The Bears D will be much improved this Yr. A case for DE improved at both starting spots , is hard to deny, the BUs as well. DT is the ?. Will Ratliff regain his form of old ( 4 pro bowls),can Paea stay healthy for whole season? Will Ego & Sutton have any impact. I think they will.
Mundy & Vereen were both Good pick ups to fortify the safety spots.
I like where this D is headed. Just not sure about the guy calling the shots. That'd be MEL.
