Took my Dad out to dinner tonight. Hit a local seafood place. Simple but excellent

Had an interesting take on poutine the other night, roast beef, gravy, grilled onions, mushrooms, french fries, some other stuff. Pretty damn good. Also had a bowl of kimchi soup that knocked my socks off.

My wife made corned beef in the crockpot the other night, and we had some leftovers. So I sauteed up some onions, and then shredded up some corn beef and mixed it in with the butter and onions, cooking it all up nice. Then I melted some pepperjack on top and put it on a leftover brat bun with some spicy mustard.

I think next time I'll go swiss, and maybe a little A-1 instead of mustard.

Not a fan of A1 but swiss is classic with corned beef.

Froze my nuts off today at work, single digit temps and worked outside all day. Usually I take a short lunch, but today I took a nice fat hour at a little pub. Coffee, bowl of chicken corn chowder and a reuben. I'm a sucker for a reuben.
