Oh I've definitely made a few.
You've made Fire Bo threads?
Oh I've definitely made a few.
The Nebraska fans who want Pelini fired for on-field performance are living in the ’90s. Winning takes time, patience, more than six years. Osborne didn’t win an outright conference championship until his ninth season. He shared a conference title in his third season – but so did Pelini. In 2010, Nebraska finished the season tied for the Big 12’s best record, a feat that would have earned a league title in pre-conference championship game days.
At the end of the day, Pelini has a winning percentage of .704 in nearly six seasons. In his first five years, he had a winning percentage of .706. Better than Nick Saban. Better than Bear Bryant. Better than Lou Holtz, Bobby Bowden, Bo Schembechler, Jimmy Johnson, Frank Beamer, Steve Spurrier, Les Miles, Pop Warner, Amos Alonzo Stagg and, oh, by the way, Bob Devaney.
Nebraska Rankings the first decade under Osborne AP/COACHES POLL):
Year
1973 11/7
1974 9/8
1975 9/9
1976 7/9
1977 10/12
1978 8/8
1979 7/9
1980 7/7
1981 9/11
1982 3/3
1983 2/2
The lowest ranking in that list is 12. Has Bo ever finished a year @12? You mention it takes time to rebuild--I'll give you that. But how many years are you suggesting? We've bee 9-4 for the six years of Bo. Where's the improvement? 6 years of 9-4 is a pattern NOT rebuilding. Penalties injuries turnovers not winning big games piss poor kickoff returns. Nothing's changed.

Did the dude above you say something stupid again. I scan right past his posts on a very regular basis.
(Btw, I know people do that with mine as well. It's all good.)

Yes I did and owned up to it. Although technically Bo has won 9 games every year.
I watched the game back again last night.
The Defensive Line wasn't as bad as a whole as I originally thought. Gangwish was awful and I can't wait to get Gregory back. The LBs were completely terrible. Good thing we had Gerry or there would have been some long ass runs busted in that game.
Still though, the game was nearly lost due to Tim Beck's inefficient play calling. That guy has anxiety something fierce and he can't seem to control it. The 2nd half especially was an absolute train wreck. This concerns me moving forward.
Our success this season is going to rely on Beck not being an idiot.
It seems we've cleaned up the fumbles and that circus shit, but Beck still wants to walk a tight rope over a pit of lava, and it costs us.
