How you can defend a player for what he did after what was almost the worst upset in the history of college football, if not top 3, is mind blowing. He was a key part of why our program was almost destroyed for the next 5-10 years in one fell swoop.

It honestly could have been a permanent destruction of our program.

Everyone has a bad game on occasion, even the good players. It's just a lot more obvious when 95% of the team does it on the same day.

I get what you're saying. He doesn't get singled out if everyone else doesn't play awful.

I just think if you're a captain and you're supposed to be someone who people look to when things aren't going well... Maybe don't contribute to the problem.

Oh for sure. He played like complete shit, and as a captain, that can't happen. Outside of Saturday though, I don't think he's awful. He's not great either, but I think he has done a little more than people on here give him credit for.

Cotton's blocking down the field doesn't bother me as much as the leg whipping penalty. He was on the offside of the option play in which Armstrong scores that td even if he whiffs the block. That cost them six.

definitely this, especially since the guy probably would have tripped over him anyway, he didn't need to make it obvious.
