Wish they still did play each other. Rivalry was a little over the top, but I enjoyed the fanfare of the game. Lots of Vandals fans would come crawling out of the woodwork. At least they have been still playing each other in basketball. Those are always fun games to watch.

I stopped watch all NFL games other than the Broncos Game so far . I might stop watching all together not sure . I am in the process of getting my money back for NFL Replay . I will not be giving them a dime more this year ...

He wasn't stating that you are wasting your time at least from what I can tell. Pretty much just seems ridiculous that people get so fired up about this but completely ignore so many other things because of how much of an inconvenience it would be to them. Such as Walmart being a company that has been a part of human trafficking. In turn by spending money there you are saying you are ok with human trafficking if you are also going to draw the line with the NFL. Or gas companies as this other poster pointed out. They are owned by some of the worst people towards human rights in modern civilization. Essentially you are saying by not supporting the NFL but being willing to support a company that beheads people because they are gay or Christian around the world that you have drawn the line at that. I mean where is your outrage towards the gas companies? Where is your outrage towards the companies that actually enslave people. I mean the computer you are using to type this hatred towards people was built on the backs of slaves. Somehow you are ok with that but not somebody taking a knee during the National Anthem.

Kneeled right there in the store. I refused to budge while the cashier was saying "Sir, can you please stand and give me your card?" I did nothing of the sort until she finally walked around the counter and took my money. What did I do? I STAY KNELT the ENTIRE time.

Everyone from the store definitely recognized me and is more aware of the injustice that the NFL charges for sports memorabilia. Nobody was annoyed in the slightest! Some guy threw an ice cream cone at me while exiting the store but pretty sure he was just thanking me with a tasty treat end of day.

Who cares about this national anthem protest. I watch NFL and College because I love the game. Everything players do outside of the actual playing of the game itself is meaningless to me.

The NFL/CFB is becoming a soap opera for men. Women and girly men care more about the off the field/sideline antics. I'd rather we not mix sports and politics. NFL is the one thing that can make me forget about all the other BS going on in my life.

In the end the OP can protest the game and claim to quit, but he will be back. Nobody quits heroin in their first try. Kaepernick sitting or taking a knee doesn't effect anyone. I haven't watched the Niners play this year, but if I had not of read the news story of Kaepernick's protest I would have probably never noticed. No reason to quit watching your favorite game because some 2nd string QB (soon to be permanent free agent) does something you disagree with. Grab a beer and relax, NFL is on tv this Thursday.

58...I believe we're blessed to live in a free society...sometimes how we express that freedom is not popular with the masses as is the case with Colin Kaepernick and these other players not standing for the anthem, etc. The same applies to your suggestion that we boycott the NFL on a different scale.

Sarcasm can have truth behind it. And it has everything to do with what you are talking about. You are upset for some employees of a company doing things that you do not appreciate and wanting to show how much you hate it by taking your money away from them. That is fine and all but then I would think you need to look at every company that you support and what some of their employees actually represent. I mean why draw the line just at the NFL? Are you really ok supporting gas companies that help pay for people being beheaded? Are you really ok typing on the computer you are using knowing that parts of that computer were made on the backs of slave labor? Just seems hypocritical of you to get so mad at one company but completely ignore the even worse atrocities that other companies you support do. You can bury your head in the sand to things that are actually going on in this world but that doesn't mean they are not happening. At least some of these guys are trying to do something. They have given millions to actually helping people. Such as Brandon Marshall gave $2.5 million to Wounded Warrior Project that helps veterans with physical, mental, and financial issues. He has already got to the Chief of Police to sit down and figure out how he can work with the local police to help them solve the violence problem and increase the communication between the public and the police force. I would say that is way more than probably 99% of the people on here have done. So at least him taking a knee has meant something to a lot of people in a positive way.
