Can you keep a 5 year old named Jax in your prayers?
One of my best friends has been at children's hospital since Sunday with his 5 year old son. It started out as the flu, then a nagging cough. Sunday morning, they noticed some swelling by his neck and he was wheezing really bad and they took him to the hospital, which after checking his oxygen levels, they rushed him to children's hospital. The swelling has spread from his neck to his chest, shoulders and face. It is so bad he can't evenue open his eyes and it is cutting off his oxygen, so he has to be sedated and on a ventilator. Children's has a staff of doctors trying to figure out where the air is coming from that is causing the swelling and haven't been able to in 3 days. He was diagnosed with pneumonia yesterday and they were told the pneumonia had gotten worse this morning.
I've spent the last couple days with them and it is heart breaking to feel so helpless and have doctors tell you they are trying to figure it out.
I don't know what else I can do for them, so I'm resorting to reaching out to as many people as I can to keep him in their prayers and hope for the best possible outcome.
