Wow. That'd be big for them. No idea who the Ducks would want back though. The Preds are starting to pick up steam and look dangerous, adding Ryan would be big for them.

The names he mentioned tend to make me think it's bogus.

Blum, Lindback & 2012 1st round pick. Why would the Ducks want a goalie? Who would replace Ryan? Blum is a bluechip prospect, but if that's all it would take to get Bobby Ryan I think somebody would have already made a trade for him.

Is my line of thinking on this offbase?

i think most trade offers for ryan have been a little short.. for a while in the fall people were talking about jvr for ryan straight up.. cant remember if that was philly writers or not, but IMO that's seriously slanted in philly's favor

I think that is close to a fair asking price for Ryan actually, I can see having to add in a2nd or a mid-level prospect. If the Ducks are asking for Lindback though I would have to think they were blowing the team up completely and that they have talked to someone about Hiller already. I'm not sure what Hiller is worth though as he's having a down season. I'm sure a team like CBJ, or TB would be willing to give up a good forward and a pick maybe but replacing Ryan wouldn't be easy. I would have to imagine if they made the Ryan trade they would be very active on the fa market.

The deal does seem a bit in favor of the Preds, though I don't know how Lindback is precieved around the league. If he's viewed as a future starter that would even out the value. I wouldn't be shocked if the rights to Radulov where included.

I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. I understand why Philly would want him though. He fits a need & his brother is already on the team.

The big difference between him and Parent was that as talented as Parent was during his time in philly he was very injury prone and wouldn't hit anyone to save his life, at least Schenn pounds on opposing players.

Schenn doesn't make a huge impact, he's invisible out there for the most part (in the past few games I've watched)...but for a Dman, that's not a bad thing.

Sorry not to upset Flyer fans but Toronto would be crazy to make this a straight up deal. The huge reason is Schenn has a LOT more value to many teams out there than Van Riemsdyk. I know it is Burke but he would be clinically insane not to listen to other offers I bet some team will blow this out of the water.

Not trying to under value Van Riemsdyk but a young talented cheaper (starting next year) D-man always has more value.
