Publicly, no, but as soon as I had an out I'd be gone to a team with a leader I could respect.
As a teammate I don't have a problem with him. I'd rather he be able to play completely at 100% then compromise me and the team because he is afraid of something. Somewhere in the back of my mind I would question his toughness for as long as it took for him to show me different. As a player you really can't publically question his decision. Its his body and mind which no one knows better than him.

Good luck, hopefully that leader respects you. Why would you not just step up and lead the bulls?
I bet the mental issues are more around fear of the re-injury and maybe not being 100%.
That is what sucks about being rushed back in .. letting him get back in basketball shape and use to cutting hard in a game environment may take more time.
