I saw some awful scheme misque's on D. This is a problem for sure. I don't know what the answer is, because any retooling will take years on D, since we don't seem to have the players to run a different D after the moves we made. We dialed up a ton of pressure against Atlanta last week by using the blitz, didn't see any of that this week.

Tucker has me confused.

And, as bad as Tucker has been, Trestman dialed up only 14 pts.... Really? With the talent we have on O, that is "unacceptable".

I think that had more to so with the decimation of the Falcon line over the last 4 weeks then anything. They were playing with 3 backups last week and just lost their center this week so are now down to 1 starter on their line. Go look at the sack totals and pressure they have been giving up the last 3-4 weeks and how it is directly effecting Matt Ryan. Everybody is getting pressure on Atlanta right now

That's a good theory except for the best pass rusher against the Falcons was Allen going up against Jake Matthews... that one starter. And the best pass rusher against the Dolphins was Jeremiah Ratliff who had four first half sacks from the DT position. Also, the real standouts against the Falcons were the LB's who weren't playing on the line of scrimmage. That and the Falcon receivers must have had 10 drops because they were getting popped in the secondary which ALSO has nothing to do with the line of scrimmage. It's OK if you didn't watch the Bears game last week... I didn't watch the Packer game last week either.

It's weird, but I knew the day was going to be long, from the 3rd and fucking 1 on the first fucking series. We had just stopped them 3 and out, were at midfield with good momentum, and we throw it deep.

Pick up the fucking 1 yard and march on down and score and who knows? Get the first down there for fucks sake. Don't like the timing, the call or the execution, but it starts with the playcall. We have arguably the best back in the league, at the very least, one of em'....give him the ball.

I agree. I felt the same thing. The feeling of the game turned after that. The lack of touches for Forte is quite troubling.

I guess Trestman only called two run plays, and the others were Jay changing the play at the line of scrimmage.

I don't understand the Cover 2 argument, since in watching the All-22, the Bears don't play it all that often any more. Haven't watched the Sunday game yet, but really, of the Bears problems, Cover-2? Seems pretty off the mark to me.

Their base defense is Cover 2, it would be impossible for all the wide open receivers that the Bears defense has that they are playing man to man.

Without a ferocious pass rush, when you play zone, it just let them play pitch and catch, and it allows the Bears not to give up the big play...look at Seattle, they lost both of the DT's to Jacksonville, and the secondary is getting scorched.

It might be confusing because half the team is playing a different scheme, like on the TD when Shea and Fuller were playing man and the other side of the field was playing zone.
