This is the last year that I will be purchasing the NFL ticket, as long as Marc Trestman is the coach.

Let me explain, he is responsible for Mel Tucker still being the Defensive Coordinator, and he is stuck on stupid, just like Lovie Smith...you can not run a Cover Two zone defense if you do not have the talent, if you do not have a good pass rush, the opposing QB just plays pitch and catch with his receivers.

You must coach to your talent, this is the equivalent of a basketball team having a four foot power forward, and they only run one play the alley oop, and it does not work, and you keep running it over and over and expecting a different result.

I am not a fan of the every down spread offense, you need a fullback, we tried this dumb shit with Mike Martz. This was a must win, and they shit a brick, starting to sound like the Cubs...Their is always next year.

it's all up to Jay to develop a rhythm.
it's all up to trestman to be prepared for 60 minutes of football.
Defense needs fundamentals and proper reaction.
None of the above is a happening

Trestman sucks. This is a very talented team. No fucking excuse for our record other then bad coaching. I hope Emory pulls the plug quick.

I saw some awful scheme misque's on D. This is a problem for sure. I don't know what the answer is, because any retooling will take years on D, since we don't seem to have the players to run a different D after the moves we made. We dialed up a ton of pressure against Atlanta last week by using the blitz, didn't see any of that this week.

Tucker has me confused.

And, as bad as Tucker has been, Trestman dialed up only 14 pts.... Really? With the talent we have on O, that is "unacceptable".

I don't see any realistic way that Emery fires Trestman after this year. Hell, even after next year (I'm pretty sure he got a four year deal) Tres will get at least 3 seasons and go into his final year without an extension if they continue as an 8-8 club. The fans will bitch and be pissed off- but Unless the wheels fall off and they finish 4-12 or worse I don't see it. If Jim Schwartz get's 5 years in Detroit- Trestman get's at least 4 in Chicago.

This is Emery's first time as a GM in only his 3rd season... His first hand picked Head Coach with only 1.5 seasons into a "rebuild" or retool or whatever you want to call it.
Now... he could very easily make Tucker or DiCom. the scapegoat or force some other coaching changes...but I just don't see them doing anything other then staying the course. They committed to Jay for at least 2 more years. I see them all staying for at least that long. No need for that talk.

It's weird, but I knew the day was going to be long, from the 3rd and fucking 1 on the first fucking series. We had just stopped them 3 and out, were at midfield with good momentum, and we throw it deep.

Pick up the fucking 1 yard and march on down and score and who knows? Get the first down there for fucks sake. Don't like the timing, the call or the execution, but it starts with the playcall. We have arguably the best back in the league, at the very least, one of em'....give him the ball.

This is typical Chicago Bears. Shitty coaching, decent talent, mediocrity reigns. Remember the '90's? It is being played all over again.

Just really disappointing.

That is my point, this spread offense is a bunch of bullshit...it can work in college, cause there are only
8-10 pro quality players on the field at one time, but in the pros, there are 22 on every play...but to line up in shotgun damn near every play, when you hand the ball off, the back has no lead blocker

The McCaskey's only asset is the Bears, they do not own the stadium, the only extra money they can make, is playoff ticket sales, and that is not going to happen...there must be accountability for this fiasco.

There is two much talent on this team to perform like this...that is all the media is talking about, I expect them the sacrifice Mel Tucker to save Trestman and Emery...but he should not have been the DC this year anyway...they have the talent to run a 4-3 Base man to man, and when they are playing well, that is what they play. Three of the games that they lost, have been when they went to the Cover Two in the second half, and then did not score.

Dallas ain't shit they got the same personnel that they had last year, they gave up Cover Two as their base defense, and went man to man...when will the Bears coaching see that, we have better talent at almost every position, and this scheme has given away three games already.

There must be accountability, or you have a Mickey Mouse organization.

What I heard this morning. Trestman wants to be fair to the players, so he appoints new captains for each game. Really? For injury, sure, but just to be "fair".

Brandon Marshall was called out by our Peggy Kuzinski about his rant in the locker room before the press got in. Said things the coach will not say.

Long is whining that the fans should not boo the players. I thought this was the tough guy on the line.

This team has no identity because they are taking the identity of a zombie coach.

2 runs for 11 yards in the first half. On what planet is averaging 5.5 yards per carry a bad thing?

As far as the McCaskeys, after the Clippers went for 2 billion, they dont need anything else. Buffalo just sold for 1.2 billion dollars and are an organization on the bottom of the totem pole.

As far as who should be the QB, its pretty simple and its not back to the mccown cutler debate, its a nobody qb that fears playing badly that will throw the ball out of play more than he will throw into double coverage.

Names are not a prerequisite to be a Trestman Quarterback. Its never been a gold star for coaching a star QB, its been for fixing troubled QB's or having a nobody in Canada. I think there is far too much read into how Trestman deals with superstars.

If Fuller is out, I disagree with this statement. The only way we can play man to man is when both fuller and Jennings are healthy and in. Anyone else is suspect on our Defensive core at CB.

Sherrick McManis just returned from quadriceps and knee injuries Sunday after showing promise at nickel in the preseason following four seasons of mostly playing special teams. Behind him are Demontre Hurst (who's filled the "extra" corner role the past two games), Teddy Williams (who never played collegiately and is primarily used on special teams), and rookies Al Louis-Jean and Terrance Mitchell.

They still wanted McManis on the corner with Jennings moving inside to the nickel if everyone was healthy. I think there is alot of promise for him, plus he has some size.

Jennings gets all his pick sixes when he is jumping routes from zone coverage.

Even with Fuller I disagree with the statement. We play zone because our CBs aren't good enough to man-up opposing WRs on a consistent basis. We can get away with it on occasions but cannot field a base defense with the approach.
